Thank you Vita! I started geraniums last winter, 2023, for the first time . Apple Blossom color. 9 out of 10 germinated on heat mat. They were big and beautiful. They are dormant now in the garage. I am receiving seeds for purple ones tomorrow and plan to start them. Would definitely enjoy your video on seed collection; never have done that on geraniums.

I grew geraniums for the first time this year from seed and I also learned how to collect seed from my geraniums!! I can’t wait to try to grow the seeds from my geraniums that I collected from this last year!! It’s so exciting!!😊

@@budgetgardeningvita I truly agree!! Last year, I did purchase 3 geranium plants from my garden center and I also purchased geranium seeds from Swallowtail gardens!! Bullseye Salmon and Maverick Coral!! This year I have the seeds I collected and I did purchase 4 more packets of geranium seeds!! Maverick Star, Maverick Quicksilver, Maverick Appleblossom and Bullseye Light Pink!! I should not need to buy any more geraniums!!😊

I love geraniums!! I plan on planting quite a few and don't want to spend the $ for the plants so I'm going to start them by seed for the first time this year. I'm going to order online soon and hope to start them the first part of February. Your videos have been so incredibly helpful on how to harvest seeds from plants, I had no idea I was able to get seeds from so many of my plants! I look forward to your geranium seed collecting video in the fall! Thanks for all the information you share with us!!

Great video just found your channel I just planted some geranium seeds I have them in a shed outside iam in zone 7-8 I have a little heater in there I had my seeds on a heat mat till they germinated,now took them off the heat and some lids off so there under grow lights what temp do I need to keep my shed at to keep geraniums growing

Hi there! Welcome to my channel! How exciting that you're also growing geraniums from seed. Zonal geraniums cannot take a freeze so I'd say as long as you keep the temperature out there between 50-60 F you should be ok. If the temperatures go below that (but above freezing) your geraniums will survive, but their growth rate will be very slow. 😊🌷
