Super cool video, in dark spots in my home, i use aquarium light specific for aquascaping and plant growth underwater. Those light are a valid alternative if you can't find other growing light and sometimes can be a cheaper option.

Hey, FYI re Lux meter - I have one for my android, free app, works well. I have only North windows, and have had some trials on how to get more light. I use LED's in a couple metal clamp lamps, plus some LEDs in decor lamps for spot lighting. The app has helped me fiddle with the set-up a bit, and figure out exactly how much light I do get in those windows. All my plants are primarily low light, 'cept for one dang Croton I had to have - oh, and a Rheo I bought cause it was pretty. Love your channel, btw, I have cruised around the plant community of late, and find myself returning, again and again. So, thank you. You are a wealth of wisdom.

Yes I've used phone apps before as well and found them accurate enough, but wanted to see what was out there for a bit more advanced measuring. Glad you have been able to get your plants in the right light conditions, that's more than many people do ;) Aww thank you that means the world to me

LUX, LUMENS and CANDELS are for PEOPLE! PAR, PPF and PPFD are for PLANTS! Using the proper metric will help you determine the proper DLI for your plants and they will thank you for it.
