Jeff, you didn't get any frost this morning? I didn't prepare for the frost we got in San Jose area...very light, but still had some on the leaves...I noticed you didn't cut your leaves off as you normally do by now...

Jeff, great videos. I've been teaching my 8 y.o. granddaughter how to propagate Plumerias down here in the Tampa-St Pete area. It really isn't much more complicated than the clear cut way you described. We've had a 100 percent success rate and are furnishing potted Plumerias to anyone in the neighborhood who wants one. Great advice. I’m in LA and all my first year cuttings are thriving I’ve even gotten enflows on a couple. Good to have an idea on when to stop fertilizing and watering. I know not to water when it becomes fall and wait till next spring but to know that it’s good to stop watering alittle early makes the trunk harden like that to prevent rot from winter storm water is valuable advice 👍👍

Hi Jeff, I'm a "liker", subscriber, and also a tropical plant fan/gardener from Lake Charles, LA. For example, as I type at 3:45 P.M., my computer Louisiana says it's 65 degrees outside and it's Feb. 5, 2024, so subtropical. It has only gotten into the low 30's once this winter and that was last month (Dec. of '23). I have all my plants outside on a covered patio where they stay the majority of the time. I have them near an adjacent room where I can move them in case of any more cold weather. They get morning sun and afternoon shade, as the patio faces east. This spring I'm getting at least one ROOTED plumeria off the Internet after I check all the local nurseries first. I figure that by buying an establised plant, I'll skip the rooting step and the possibility of root rot. I know I'll pay more, but it's the price I'm willing to pay. Thank you for sharing the tips! They are very useful. I started to grow my plumeria in pot outside in Japan (Chiba prefecture). The winter temperature here normally doesn’t get below 2 degrees Celsius, but we have rains sometimes in winter. Could you please share your experience how to deal with rain during dormant period? Especially when the tree has been growing big enough. Thank you!

I have been following your directions for letting them dry out over the winter but we had a big thunderstorm last week and now they are all saturated again. I live in San Diego and it's still 75° during the day on November 25th and the lowest so far has been 49° at night. Do I have anything to worry about with root rotting at this point? Some of them are still producing flowers. 🤷‍♀️

Im in an area where where it’s quite cold so my trees must go dormant or the can rot. San Diego is much warmer so it may not be an issue

I have a new plumeria cutting that I’m keeping indoors. The top green part that isn’t hardened off is slightly soft when I squeeze it. Does that mean it’s rotting on the inside and will work it’s way down? The roots look perfectly fine and none of the leaves have yellowed or fallen.

I transferred my plumeria cutting to a larger pot. In that process most of its roots got damage/broken. Luckily it is warm temperate/spring in my city. Will the cutting be able to regain its roots back?

Hey Jeff I have a question about large plumeria cuttings. I acquired some pretty big branches some of the stems are 3-4” wide. Will bigger branches like that root? Thanks in advance
