Thanks good info! Ok, im in Az. I want to make beer. I just ordered some Rhyzomes and what I got from your video is, that I wont get cones for 2yrs?? That sucks!! That means a 2plus year commitment! (Gets pretty dry here in summer and cant forget! Yikes!) My soil is from the H.depot. Any recommendation on whats best soil? The basic vegetable soil or something more organic?? (Im Talking about chinook) hows the beer from this?😁 ty for the video! Curious about the structures for it to grow on (like strings or wooden arbors) ? Wish me luck.

Hey there! So you'll get cones the first year, but you won't get a ton. The second year should be better, and plants are fully mature by year 3. Just don't cut the bines too low to the ground (leave about 4-6 inches), water frequently but don't flood them, you'll be in good shape. As for soil: hops, like other plants LOVE nitrogen. You shouldn't need any fancy soil, any regular gardening soil with a decent amount of nitrogen should do.
