Love the video! The prices in Canada are similar! I got 3 newly rooted super short strands for 25$ and now I thankfully have 4 mini pots of it through props with moss! I like being able to check on the root growth but maybe I will try soil in the summer.

I recently started my string of hearts journey and I’m not even a month in and I got a 100% successful propagation from my normal hearts and on November 6 i bought a variegated one for $5 and it’s growing fast but I’m scared to propagate her right now so i will probably wait until it gets bigger. So far I’m loving the experience and experiments

I got my string of hearts for 50 pesos so basically almost 3 dollars, plants in Mexico tend to be cheap especially in markets

I came across your video & I need help with my vsoh 😭 she got root rot but the little ball looks good im not sure what to do 😭

Take it out, trim off wherever you see rot while sanitizing your scissors with each cut. Place on slightly moist paper towel in a ziploc bag and place in the sun. Good luck! Otherwise if you’re in the US, VSOH prices have come down a lot. See if there’s any local / online plant exchange groups that sell at a discount or are interested in trading, otherwise it’ll be a long wait before that caudex has enough energy to generate roots / new leaves.

I paid $31.00 for a 2.5" variegated and $19.66 for my 4" non variegated. This is from Amazon.

😂I got mine at home Depot in a 5” pot for $13 after tax last month, it was full and had vines all over already, but I’m in San Diego CA
