Wow you just made my day and my grandsons , I was praying this morning and asking God to remind me he’s got my back . So many worries so I decided to learn about pineapples 🍍 just after I read and prayed. Had no idea you would talk about Jesus and when you did I felt so blessed 😇 thank you God used you today in a mighty way .

Spray the leaves every two months with half strength miracle grow. They are low maintenance. Good luck and happy growing.

I have been growing pineapple plants in Germany for 30 years, have a tropical hot house to overwinter pineapples and I have bananas and papaya in the hot house all year round.

Can I grow them indoors -in the Pacific Northwest?

You will need to be in a semi tropical area. I don't think they grow well in cooler areas.

I had one to make a pineapple, the mother plant looks like baby plants coming up on the mother plant. Should I break them off there are 3, or let them grow on?

They will grow in anything but a mix of any kind of potting or garden soil may better. Spray the leaves with half strength Miracle Grow every two months. This will help a lot! Happy growing!

How many times will they fruit? I planted two like this and neither one have produced a pineapple in over two years.

Once you plant a top it takes almost two years before you get another pineapple. Once you get fruit it will not fruit again. I'm not sure why you haven't been able to get fruit.

I mix a half strength Miracle Grow and spray the foliage which is how the plant absorbs the nutrients.I spray every two months and stop spraying once the pineapple crowns.

Pineapples contain natural digestive enzymes. So it’s good to pair them with foods that are difficult to digest, like red meat.

Yes, that is true. I believe it has bromelain.
