I have a question Sir, How ti further expand the color effect after an instance. Like for example if I am making map expansion of an empire first I will cover certain region lets say Northern China them I would like to futher expand towards east China then later towards west and slowly slowly I would like to show entire China under one color. You can just use the expand mask feature to expand the color. For precise movements you will need to use an animated mask with key frames.

You will have to draw a mask and then animate that out. This method I will be covering in my animation course.

Yes basically start by drawing a mask from the other side not in the middle of the map. So say start the mask on the left and then animate it across to the right using the mask position keyframes.

Hey, a simple way to isolate the colors is to use a mask. You can custom draw a mask or use the mask shrink/ expand option. Hope that helps!

No worries, you can see at 2:10 I show how to do this. You just need to do this but draw the mask only around the part you want to keep. So instead of drawing a big line around an entire continent just draw a small line around the part you wan to highlight.

I believe so, I haven’t used it myself but it will save you a lot of time in creating maps. I can’t say exactly what you can animate with it but there are some animation presets built in to it.

Hey, you can split the country using the mask tool and color each section different. Or add the 4 way color gradient to that layer and select your colors.

Make sure the effects control window is there. Check window then check effects control. Then make sure you select the layer in the timeline and go up to the effects control. There are multiple tabs next to the project window so you might need to scroll along to find it

It is most likely transparent already just hit the transparency button (Bottom middle of the viewer) otherwise it will appear black.

Start by shifting the mask or drawing a second mask around the area you want and adjusting the mask settings.

Hey, yes just simply move the mask so the center lines up on the right. You might need to adjust the mask size but the effect will be it starts from the right and grows out 😎
