Hey Barbara, Not sure if you do this, but if so please excuse my comment. When you take down your twists start from the very tip. If you add a little water or a product with slip to the tip to help loosen the tip it can greatly reduce tangles. I’ve recently done this and it helps ALOT. I used to undo my twists a few inches up and it caused my twists to tangle horribly and I rarely have that problem. I will also add that tangles can be caused due to shed hair working its way down. Your hair is beautiful.

For my maintenance I use a spray bottle with glycerin and water and i put castor oil with olive oil and a leave in conditioner every 4-6 days.. trying to push it to 2 weeks and keep my hair moisturized for a while but haven’t found what works for me yet!!

Do you dilute your castor oil? I’ve noticed the castor oil really moisturizes my hair idk why i waited so long to use it😂 but i know people dilute it idk if that’s something you do?

Box braids. Your hair grew so long wow! Gorgeous and thick from root to tip! My hair is breaking, especially the 4c section (I have 4b texture too). Any suggestions?

What do you think is causing it to break? Are you experiencing some stress? Are you having a tight style in right now? Are you moisturizing enough? Etc? Please share with me more so that I can help thanks

@@BarbaraBirungiSunflower I think that section needs to be moisturized more often than the rest, I do it 1 to 2 times per week; 4b section is fine, 4c is breaking. I had a lot of shedding in the 4c section on washday after I removed the braids, but after a strengthening ayurvedic hair mask and moisture-protein conditioner I barely had any shedding anymore. I still do not know the perfect balance between moisture and protein for my high po hair because it is also protein sensitive (becomes hard, stiff and brittle after a protein heavy treatment and stays like that for 1-2 weeks even if I moisturize heavily).
