This is excellent! How many people buy things on credit cards, not thinking about needing to pay it at the end of the month and carrying their balance over to the next month and only paying the minimum payment? This should be a required class which will teach students these things in class so they won't have to learn them thru the "school of hard knocks".

This should be taught at every grade level. Some kids are working as young as middle school.

They used to teach this back in the 1980’s. All things money, we had EF Hutton advisors speak to the classes, writing checks, balancing accounts and how inflation impacts everyone.

This is a very important skill, that unfortunately most parents/guardians do not teach their kids.

In sixth grade my son learned about the stock market in school, in addition to other financial nuggets. He's now 46 and someone I consider financially successful and with a secure future. Need I say more. As an aside, he did not go through the public school system. We paid our taxes to support a school system we never used (or had faith in). Our choice, of course, and we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I wish I had that knowledge when I took up a loan at a fine 19%, me to me, "lmao, it's just a number" - me to me poor af years later, "no it wasn't"

They should’ve taught that course years ago and I’m sure they did when I was in high school because I remember having to balance a checkbook but that was back in the 70s so clearly it wasn’t important after that

But if people get a financial education in high school they won't be as vulnerable to all the predatory loansharks that destroy their life with student loans in college, and they will know how to pay bills and balance a budget. 😮

Ironically, here we see someone using their financial literacy to sell overpriced sneakers to people who insist on making poor financial decisions. 😂

I would think that the more knowledge about money the more we all would make in the chain

That’s a GREAT decision. Otherwise, they won’t know how to manage their money.

Bravo, it's about time instruction in financial literacy is valued en masse. It reminds me, though, of how the tin can was invented before the can opener. Somehow expectations of financial responsibility came before any serious thought on financial literacy curriculum. But, better late than never.

Forever grateful this holiday season! 🎄 Mrs. Agnes Peterson completely turned my life around, helping me overcome massive financial debt with just a small investment. Her expertise is unmatched, and I’ll keep sharing her impact with the world.

My journey with her started after my best friend got back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how my life could change through her. Agnes Peterson is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note!.: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!

First / why ? They all wanna be "influencers" anyway 🤦♂️🤣
@gemmeldrakes275819 сағат бұрын
Financial literacy will be even more important for anyone who wants to be an influencer. Influencers are essentially runnning a small business , with themselves as the product. There is a surprising amount of financial knowledge needed in order to become successful as an influencer.
