Unethical employers very much like H1B visas because foreign workers are easier to treat poorly. These visas are used to drive down wages for workers in a number of fields. Abusive employers in tech and academia (universities) been pushing false claims for years that there aren't enough American workers when in fact there is invariably a glut of American workers. Hearing this claim that the foreign workers are more talented is a new angle for these greedy employers and very silly. In academia some of these foreign workers do not perform at the same level and cannot speak English. Some are quite competant. The power that greedy university and tech companies hold over the H1B foreign workers enables them to pay them low wages and institute long hous and abusive work conditions, which in turn drastically impacts the working conditions of the entire industry, creating abusive conditions for american workers as well. H1B employers often summarily cancel visas to workers if they are noncompliant. I saw one worker forced to return to his home country for simply asking a lab boss not to speak to him so rudely. It is very shameful to hear that elon musk is so entitled and uncaring as to support these policies publicly. I've lost respect for him.

American universities have failed the country. They have focused of creating useless graduates in the humanities. If America is to survive and thrive it must have graduates in the hard sciences (math quills required). This is why the tech sector wants H-1B visas. Our home grown talent is inadequate. Graduates in social justice or women’s studies are useless. Lawrence summers pointed out this problem years ago…no body listened because it wasn’t politically correct and he was a democrat (so republicans didn’t listen either). No tech sector means no prosperity and no national security. Musk is right, MAGA is wrong and misguided.

Here's the thing America has allowed foreign workers on Visa's to come here for years now. But it started with a small amount and the foreigners truly appreciated the opportunity. Now years later foreign workers come to USA in mass amounts of them and they Expect things rather than appreciate the opportunity. Many of them show no respect for Americans. They are not more skilled or highly skilled. Majority of them don't speak English and are trained by an American worker delegated to train them and then the company fires the American worker. It's a pattern that's been in play for awhile and escalated in mass rates and Americans being replaced by foreign workers. The Economy: the money the foreign workers make is often sent to their home countries. Foreigners by up housing and land in USA while Americans can't afford housing. Rich people and corporations have known about this for cheap laborers for years and so Elon and Ramaswamy should know by now this is why the people voted for Trump because they believed his speeches Americans First but now Americans are seeing that it's looking like Trump and his administration is for the foreigners instead of Americans First. Then for Elon to call people fools is like Democrats calling Trump supporters deplorable. Don't get me wrong i don't hate or dislike Elon or Ramaswamy, but i do strongly disagree with their plan and how they are addressing Americans opposed to it mainly because i thought Elon was more intelligent than to go about things in this way. If you're a smart male American high school student, you'll investigate what career to pursue. Even if you'd make a 0.01 top engineer, it's obvious that you'll have to spend a fortune for the education, then have to compete against the rest of the world for a job. It makes more sense to become a plumber or electrician than to take a chance with the deck so stacked against you. If the rest of the world was excluded, you'd see a huge influx of excellent American students come into the market.
