Veryy powerful and versatile setup, amazing tut mate ! How did you learn this nodes skills ?
@realruckli3 ай бұрын
Thanks :) I can recommend reading the documentation and the rest is learning by doing. Also the guys from Maxon gave me some tips. And an other good way to start are the example scenes inside the Asset Browser or the Website nodebase.info/

Really nice, but I don't understand anything. Do you know good courses to teach these things from the beginning?

Amazing as always! Do you know from where to start learning capsules? Any courses or material to grasp it from scratch? Thanks bro

Awesome results, but i was folllowing the tutorial and stopped at 29:12 , when you add some additional points to the Positions and Age so it creates a Vertex Map, in my case no Vertex Map was created, do ypu know why?
@realruckli4 ай бұрын
You are right, this trick not always works. The Vertex Map gets created automaticly when you start growing points, but the probem is that the Vertex Map gets lost when you go back to frame 0. So thats a bit anoying. A better solution is to plug an Append Element Node between the Memory Solver and the Iterate Collection. This should make sure that there is always a point at Frame 0. Hope that helps.

Can you make a rain tutorial setup like the fancy ones in x particles and Houdini with particles splashes and meshed pooled up water on objects in scene using default c4d?
@realruckliАй бұрын
I think the new particle system is perfect for that, check e.g. 3DBonfires Tutorials, he has some about particles and water: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYaviZaKfZx9qK8 My channel is more about Scene Nodes, Capsules and a bit of Python :)

Great tutorial! Can you make these spheres growing in a object, in a mesh topology instead of them appearing loose in space? Thank you very much.
@realruckli2 ай бұрын
Not 100% sure what you mean, but is the advanced capsule that i present at the end of the video maybe the solution (growing them inside the head model)?
@bcrbdb2 ай бұрын
@@realruckli Thank you for the answer. I would like it to grow outside of the surface of the head, like you know on particle systems that have a surface follow operator, not starting inside and colliding with the inside of the head. Thanks
@realruckli2 ай бұрын
@@bcrbdb Yes this should be no problem. Instead of checking if the point is inside the head you can project every point with the "Closest Point On Surface" Node to the desired surface. Maybe a good node exercise :) . Let me know if you need any help

Is this getting close to blenders geo nodes?

I’m not super familiar with geo nodes, but I think they are pretty similar. Some ideas of my setups are inspired from geo nodes and houdini ;)

Hi Dominik! when I set the closest point condition, the particle spawn is very low (3/4 points max). I tried to compare my scene to yours and it's practically identical. the cinema version is cinema 2024.1. how can I fix that?
@realruckli4 ай бұрын
Hhmm maybe play with the noise threshold. Or you could download my files and compare it
@DrNapalm4 ай бұрын
@@realruckli tThe problem is the closest point, I think. because this "error" appears before the noise part. when I put the "compare" node in the "count" of the "Append Element" node, particle spawning does not work :(
@DrNapalm4 ай бұрын
@@realruckli I compared my scene with yours but it is identical, I don't understand what the problem could be. probably the version of Cinema on which this system was built?

Hi can you generate points like this to use in grain dynamics
@realruckli4 ай бұрын
To my surprise, yes this works :) . You have to switch the Generator Instance Mode to "Instance" or "Render Instance". And add a Matrix Op with e.g. a Sphere as Output as explained in the Tutorial at MIn 10:20
@realruckli4 ай бұрын
And when you use bullet the peformance is even better. Damn that so great, thanks for the hint :D

Very cool but can't get it to work. I've tried your file as well and it doesn't work for me either. I've followed your tutorials and checked it a couple of times but I can't get it grow in the initial stage. The second sphere only changes position but doesn't duplicate. I'm using 2024 though

@@realruckli Yeah I'm getting some bugs in 2024.3.1. Some connections don't get propagated correctly. eg at 6:51, my iterate collection node property page doesn't have this line when connected: >Collection -● Memory I've had it also with other nodes where an integer port is connected but the property panel doesn't have have a dialog box. Can still plug an integer node into the port though.

There is a documentation inside the c4d doc. And there is also a beginners guide on youtube at core4d 😉
