As soon as this is exposed to regular light the picture will fade to one colour. Well, the opposite of fade, the yellows will become green. They failed to mention this aspect of it.

The portrait idea is really cool but it’s not a new thing, when I was little I was trying to do the same thing with apples. My grandpa had old gardening book, it showed bunch of cool stuff for garden and one of them was explaining how sun and light interacts with vegetables and how you can see it yourself by doing art on apples. You have to make a film of your design or just a stencil and put it over Apple when it’s still young and cover the rest with something dark and let it grow till it gets ready. When it’s done, you get the same effect as they did with the grass. Where film was darker it stays way lighter, almost white, where it was exposed more to the light it gets dark red.
