Oh, is it too late for me to plant on January 29th Zone 9b? Direct in a pot.

Is it necessary to pull out the corms after flowering in 9b? Can they be left in the ground for the next year?

I’m also in zone 9. I planted my ranunculus in recycled solo cups in late October. I filled with Miracle Growth potting soil half way. I got growth but the leaves wilted out. I kept the soil moist ;lightly sprayed. Now I don’t see any growth. I leave them in garage which can get down to 40-50 degrees by nights. I have left them outside last weekend when I had decent weather mild 70 degrees, and still no growth any thoughts? I’m really at a lost 🤔 I appreciate it.☺️

Hi, Once the corms are planted how frequently should you water them? I planted them in mid-october in zone 9b and watered them while planting but did not water them again till now (based on advice from a diff youtube video). Do you think the corms are dead? Can I still get them to bloom if I water them now ensuring they don't dry out?

Hi! I've learned that they're fairly adaptable and that it completely depends on your soil conditions at the time. I used to never water them in and wait until the had all sprouted through the ground with abundant green leaves before watering. Now I actually water them in right away, and then wait until I see lots of green growth to water again. After that, maybe once a week while it's cold out.

@@b-sidefarm5753 Thank you for your reply! I started watering them every time they dried out from the time of my comment and they sprouted exactly in 2.5 weeks time. They are continuing to grow nicely. Hopefully I didn't mess the timing and they flower well, even if a little late. Very excited!

If I’m pre-sprouting my ranunculus should I pinch them
