Blacks today have forgotten everything this man and people like him fought for.

I don't think it's forgotten it's not TAUGHT, I remember growing up in THE BRONX going across the east river to Harlem and then moving to San Francisco to the FILLMORE, Harlem of the west we spend a good 60 to 70 cents of a DOLLAR to Black Entrepreneur's. The systemic manner over the decades of dividing the Black Community has been made to come to fruition. We must get back to our community and trust one another and have the pride that once was. I remember I'm 71 years young.

lmao causes evolve. We're not fighting for the same things those people fought for, and that's okay.

ffjsb don’t fucking tell us about what we should do, you aren’t black. This was generations ago, it’s a new era and times are changing. Keep your regressive thinking away from our community. We don’t need your damn input.

It's honestly disappointing seeing so many people have access to precious historical footage and testimonies yet fail to recognize the SYSTEMIC forces behind the world we see today. Oppressed peoples cannot "mindset" their way out of constant abuse and injustice. As a native Chicagoan, it has always been blatant to me since a young age that everything wrong with the world is by design. People don't "fail" to "rise above" racism, classism, etc. - they're sabotaged.

This exactly how it was in FL. Fl is a southern state that dont get mentioned alot about this stuff. In FL lots of African Americans established their own communities within a community and thrived off that. They had jobs own homes schools and everything. Stores restaurants. FL had 2 cities that were known as the Harlem of the south. But thats not in the history books.
