Hi, I'm just curious. Do you think that your child was exposed to the idea of changing genders then encouraged to do so by you, or do you think it is something natural that is just a normal part of human development? I'm not a troll, I'm just genuinely curious what you think about that as a trans kid parent? Me, for instance I would encourage my child to not change gender and be proud of who God designed them to be biologically.

@@umarabdullah5510 My daughter started demonstrating her feeling that she was the opposite gender from a very young age. We in no way encouraged this. We resisted it for a while, we passed it off as a phase. My child who had the biggest and easiest smile became depressed and lost all of her confidence and sparkle. Eventually we couldn't deny that this was who she was. When we allowed her to transition, she regained her joy overnight. If God designed my kid, he designed her to be exactly who she is, and maybe the challenge he set me was to learn to accept it. I wonder, if your child was this way, would you put your beliefs ahead of your child's happiness and even their life? By the way, I see your comment below that you are "disgusted", not "just genuinely curious", right? But I decided to reply in good faith, perhaps you will receive my reply with same.

KVA i’m not talking about the physicality of the brain. Gender isn’t a social construct so trans people can recognize that they have gender dysphoria which is why the brain doesn’t match the body, and dysphoria is treated by transitioning hence why people are much happier after transitioning.

Plenty of cis kids are bullied too. One of my bullies just died (50 years after it began!) and everyone is praising how wonderful she was. Nobody mentions her being a bully, just that she was a self-proclaimed yogi spreading love to everyone. Pah! A few years ago I saw her for the first time in 35 years at a funeral and she spent the whole luncheon rolling her eyes at me and making fun of me to others. I didn’t realize it but someone else told me afterward. My point is that many many people are bullied and the damage doesn’t really leave you, no matter what you achieve or what surgery you get. Attempted suicide rate for trans kids whose parents do not accept them is 70-80%. 90+% drug and alcohol abuse rate. But when their families accept them, the attempted suicide rate is just a bit above the normal rate for kids.
