Colorado Hands and Voices is a good resource and also the Listen Foundation hosts a Cochlear Implant Family Camp every summer in Estes Park, Co that is awesome. My daughter is 10, has 2 CI and we live in colorado springs.

My daughter is deaf so I watch these to know what to exspect

How come these kids' voices sound so normal but other kids or adults with cochlear sound loke they have deaf voice? There are a bunch of vids of kids who had aids at 8 months and then went to CI but dont soind anything like these kids

Because they were implant before the age of five when the brain stems in the brain were still developing. That is why its so important to detect deafness so young. And for around twenty years they been doing a hearing test on new born babies. Thank God my daughter has been implanted since one and does very well. We are looking forward to getting the Kanso sound processer and its can free up her ear.

its because what they hear is how they speak basically so it comes out all distorted
