You need to mention to use cold water when rinsing your seeds . Also cold water when soaking them. I found out that using room temperature or warm water will make the seeds rot.

@@KorinaRijeka , from the tap. I used room temperature water and it rotted out. They’re so packed in tight that they generated heat , so using room temp or warm water made them rot quicker. Use cold water, not freezing , but just cold tap water.

Hello, Since you are not using soil do we need some kind of nutrients to add to the microgreens because don't the plants get their minerals from the soil to be healthy . also, do we water it during the blackout period? How do we prevent mold when growing microgreens? thank you for any info

At some point plants will need nutrients to grow even bigger, but I think they can get pretty far without! I usually only grow sprouts, because I don’t want to deal with soil, but now that I’ve seen this I’m going to give it a go

You do not need nutrients. They have all they need in seed till they develop there 1st true sets of leaves and taproot. Sunlight and the nitrogen in air will suffice for 1st 10 days.

Put a couple cups in the blender in the morning with yogurt, blueberries, or your fruit of choice and drink it. It's sooooo good and you will LOVE the peas. Peas are crunchy, delicious, and good on anything or just a handlful as a snack. Only cut them at the roots right before you eat them just o make the greens last longer! If you eat them a lot you will notice that you feel good, sleep good, and it helps overall health! So easy to grown! Almost in any container.

@@GloriaGlory-g2r does "I've had a couple of snacks" mean "I've had exactly two snacks" to you? Because to me "couple" means exactly the same as "some" here to me. Also words like "awesome", "terrific", "sick" all had negative meanings, but later got reinterpreted to mean positive things. Words DO change, and no amount of "I don't like change, grrr" on your part will stop the evolution of language. Grammar can change too, "I am become death" used to be grammatically correct in early modern English, that's no longer the case in contemporary English.
