Astonishing what you’ve achieved alone in one year!! Is this the first year the land has been cultivated for a while? When we started out with our garden on previously abandoned land the veggies grew really well for about 3 years then (despite composting and mulching etc) the fertility and productivity dropped greatly. We were told to expect this. Then we have had very dry summers and the soil has become even stonier and less “alive” than ever before. It’s a real struggle (smallholding in Brittany, similar climate to yours and I think similar soil).

So many vegetables! I'm from Holland. We are having a crazy summer here. Lots of rain! Not so good for my tomatoes because they are outside. 😅

Thank you, it hasn’t stopped raining here all of July. Climate where I am too wet to grow tomatoes outside. Best of luck with everything.

Hi from a rainy Manchester. All your produce is looking lush. Would you ever think of keeping bee hives for the honey? 🤗👩🏻🌾☘️🌿

Yes, would like to have my own honey as have plenty of food for bees but as I have had bees in the past i know it’s a big undertaking and I need to make sure I’m prepared. Right bee for location and equipment etc. Something definitely for the future.

Sow in good well draining compost. Pinch out for best results and plant out in sunny position well supported with ground well prepared.
