Yes! Finally someone who tells us how to ditch social media and build genuine connections by being a genuine person who doesn't sleep, eat and get through the day attached to the phone and social media. So helpful and inspiring Carrie, thank you!

So well said! Exactly my sentiment! I absolutely hate social media platforms that consume our lives in a rat race contest that takes away the true essence of personal connection.

This is the beginning of 2023 but I find that it is just as important. I have never struggled with mental health or confidence but a few months of trying to the "right things" on social media has changed that completely. It's making me think I don't want a business.

One of the goals of this year is getting away from Facebook and Instagram and find another way to build a following on a sustainable and data-safety aware platform! Which is called - real life! 🤗 I am watching this video for a reason! You‘ve nailed it once again, Carrie! Thank you for your work 🙏🏻

Absolutely LOVE this and agree 100%! This is how I built a success business a few years back ~ no social media but, local involvement and engagement. It's literally FREE advertising and becoming the local expert by building the relationships. Thank you!!!!

As a woman entrepreneur over 40 helping other over 40 women build their personal brand confidence I was conflicted for so long. Knowing the benefits of social media marketing but not having my values aligning with the makers of those addictive platforms gave me much anxiety. Eventually I defined a clear methodology that excluded social media and made the decision to stop being on FB and Instagram specifically - best decision ever!! My life and business before and after this decision is like chalk and cheese. It is possible and the positive impact is HUGE! If it’s been on your mind, do it!

I’m about to make this decision, but I’m afraid of stop being on instagram. I don’t know why, since I have no return there. I love blogs and I do believe on it. I’m starting my own blog and I want to focus on it.

Yes. I’ve been feeling this desire to cut social media. It just feels so freeing to not be tied down by it. I have a podcast and email list. Enough for me.

Solid information. Thank you! In the art world we are pressured to use social media to get known. It is a hamster wheel and I have had a tough time swallowing this information. I also have a background in energy healing and mentoring. Mentoring is opposite of a quick splash. I am thirsty for genuine connection and want to encourage others to consider their intent with everything they do. Including any online presence. I am so glad to see someone else wanting this too. Collaboration on this topic would be awesome!

You are the first person who has advised that we can start a business without social media. Thank you. We just have to motivate ourselves to do the work. Proud of you.

Hello Carrie. This video is inspiring me a lot since I just have got stuck in social media. I am a new comer in UK and speak different language, could you please advise if I should build powerful connections with my city/neighbors or I should build connections with my original country people? Thank you 🙏

Hi Carrie, thanks for all your tips. I have a question, hope it is politically correct. You're a gorgeous woman. Do you think you would have the same chances to get involved locally and listened by business people if you're ugly? It's a real question, I'm not jocking. Please don't answer "all women are beautiful" :) They are, of course, but I think that building a network, locally, is really hard and frustrating if you aren't a beautiful girl wearing a small ;) i'll really appreciate a comment from you. Thanks
@michellesachs22682 жыл бұрын
Although I'm not Carrie, I hear this same comment from many women! I say this because my business focuses on helping women who want to feel more confident and attractive while putting themselves out there to make new connections. So I frequently hear this genuine concern and know it holds people back, is all 🥰.
