This video made me cry. She expressed what I feel. I started doing abstract after me husband died two years ago. Before I was painting what he liked, landscaped, animals, flowers, pretty pictures. He didn't understand abstract art and when I did my first abstract I knew I had found my joy. You have inspired me so much.

One of the aspects of your abstract paintings which is so appealing and soothing to me is how you have large areas for the eyes to rest. This is the mark of a successful abstract in my opinion. Plenty of action with places for the eyes to take a break.

I am no where near your age Jean, but oftentimes get despondent when I see submissions requesting only people up to 35! At that age my art was nowhere as good as it is now. I feel one matures artistically with the years - like an old cheese. I will try to remember you when I feel bad about my age. You art is fantastic. So strong and vibrant. May I say happy?
