Absolutely impossible to resist a deal like that! A lot of happy club members and just as many unhappy partners that there's no space left on the patio! 😂

WOW. What a deal on these Juniper. Oh I would love to help sort, trimming and initial potting. 👍

That Juniper you were dissatisfied with.... Between the curve and that downward branch. That's the perfect spot to put a swing! 😄 I bet the birds would love a swing! Hee hee hee... Great score, there are some really great trees there!! The work and effort is well worth it!

So jealous. I was so confused in the potting up stage because I thought you were doing it now. Only half paying attention so I was muttering away that I do this work in the late summer. Then I get to 7 minutes and realise it is another timelapse video. Great stuff Jelle :)

Looks soo great! Here in Finland the field grown Junipers are hard to train into Bonsai. Your Junipers look amazing, lots of potential there! Cheers from a snowy cold Finland!

What makes it dificult to grow junipers there?

@@GrowingBonsai I really don't know.. I never suceed. They live a season in a pot and after that they just die for me. I've tried to use soil from where they actually trive and sometimes I've mixed the compost, but so far I've had no juniper more than two years alive in a pot. This winter has been soo long, started in October and still tomorrow we expect 10 cm of snow, after next week there is a small chance of actual spring.. Maybe it is our growing season that is too short?..

Hey Jelle! Really cool trees! If you have too many and want to sell one, let me know. Or if you know where one could get one. The cuttings I got from you last year are all doing fine and well on their way. I made a small Tanuki with the Yew cutting and the Itoigawas will also become Tanuki this year... I have some really amazing pieces of deadwood that is perfect for them.

Did you say keep the foliage moist to help the plant root? I didn't know keeping foliage moist did anything really
@GrowingBonsai7 ай бұрын
Juniper can take up a large part of their water needs through the foliage. Not optimal but a great aid if little roots are available.

Hello. Watching this video it catched my eye- while you were preparing the soil, You used a material that You say is artificial lava. What is this product and how similar are its properties to real lava? And how often You use it? Regulary, or only for "new material"? Thx

@@milanhavran2097 its my default bulk. It is rigidur (brandname) and used to fill empty spaces below floors in Germany. Cheap, light .. great!😁

Let me make a criticism to you. In almost every video there is something that is done with approximation: in this video it is the not so draining layer you put in the soil, in other videos there are similar thing (followed by phrases like "I'm doing this because I'm lazy, but you shouldn't"). This is in contrast with what you are trying to achieve (at least to my view) in the channel: precision and correcness of information. I find this bothersome and uncoherent. I know what you mean when you say that you do something approximately because you don't feel like doing it precisely, it happens also to me, but be aware of the fact that this impacts how we see you and your channel: improving this aspect may be a small great step in increasing the quality of your videos (which is already veeery high, so I have to find the details to criticise😂).
