Where can you buy the beans, and could you plant in the late summer?
@MrJasinski1016 жыл бұрын
Go to eagleseed.com - they have a dealer list on their page

Not a late summer crop. Eagle has a chart for recommended planting times according to location on their site.

Wyatt, you can find Eagle's soybeans here: eagleseed.com Depending on your location, you could still be able to plant but the window is closing soon. -Daniel

This year yall need miles of hot zone fence!!! That’s pretty disappointing how heavy the browse pressure has been for yall even after removing all them does last year. Welp gotta go to work on em again this deer season. Good luck to all of you!!!
@GrowingDeerTV6 жыл бұрын
The Hot Zone fences have saved a lot of forage and we're looking forward to hunting over them this season! -Daniel

What's the latest you guys have planted beans? Our area has had some serious rain and its to wet to get into right now. I have heard some farmers in our area say as long as they are in around 4th of July it wont hurt production. I'm in North Carolina.

Yes, you should be fine to plant during the next week or two give the conditions are favorable. -Daniel

When is the best time to plant eagle seed broadside?
@GrowingDeerTV6 жыл бұрын
Soil moisture is key. You want to plant 45-60 days before the first frost. -Daniel

Have you noticed any changes in the behavior of the deer or the growth of the plants, that you would accredit to Plot Rock?
@GrowingDeerTV6 жыл бұрын
Benjamin, Last summer we applied Plot Rock to a plot called Prickly Pear. Deer definitely browsed the portion of the plot with Plot Rock first before moving on to the rest of the plot. We applied Plot Rock to our plots this summer but due to the drought and high deer numbers, all forage was consumed and we were not able to draw conclusions based on our observations. Stay tuned. -Daniel

Do yall recomend shooting a deer in the chest or the neck?
@rydaddy28676 жыл бұрын
Chest, absolutely. MUCH larger margin for error.
@GrowingDeerTV6 жыл бұрын
We don't recommend shooting a deer in the chest, because it leaves a minimal blood trail. Through both shoulders is our favorite firearm shot placement. -Daniel

What sucks is I'm a 13 yr old. I don't have no where close to enough money to buy any of this.......
@Patrick-wu6kt6 жыл бұрын
You can do it cheaper. Get a rake, find a natural open area in the woods or make one if you're allowed. Buy seed after season and store in the freezer over winter for the next year. You can usually get it for at least half price. You can do it. I did it on a skidder trail after they logged. Clover and chicory. Paid a total of about $50 for lime, fertilizer, and seed for it.
@larryalexander48336 жыл бұрын
hang in thier !! I know it seems impossible but in time if you stay after it and be responsible and respect able to your elders and friends you will get all you need !!!!! I use to make food plots with garden rake and garden tiller and bought seed by pound at feed and seed ( still do) same seed as in big bags . good luck fellow Hunter remember respect the land and the game and god for your game and time out in mother nature !!

Aidan Rhea I’m late to this post but you can make a fall food plot cheap and easy. Go to a local feed store and buy winter wheat and some oats. It’s cheaper and works with little tillage. Sow it late September. We have got some good bucks this way. Hope it helps next season. You can do this around $60 that’s 100 pound of seed.for a small area around 28 feet by 60 feet.
