I put my grow lights on a timer and place a sensor to turn off when heat or a certain temp is reached. They’re fairly inexpensive online and in home stores. I don’t leave for months at a time but when I do go on vacation for a week or two I will be sure that these controls are fully functioning and work as they should. Have a great prospecting trip!! I love watching those videos as well.
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Erin. Timers are excellent idea but still need someone to water them and I don't think it's fair to have this burden imposed on my daughter. I once went away for a month and the hose burst while the water timer was on flooding the whole backyard. It took a week before the neighbors discovered it and I came back to an enormous water bill.

I run into a problem whenever I cover the soil with some rock. The soil remains wet for too long and roots start rotting. Where am I going wrong? =_=
@GrowingSucculentswithLizK3 жыл бұрын
Maybe it's the soil mix or the area your living it might have too much humidity in the air. If your soil mix have too much compost in it, try adding some coconut peat with your soil mix to balance it out.
