In an earlier K4 video, you fired off the flare gun just before the merge. In that last round when Arch3r switched to fox-2s, I think it would've been interesting to see if you could decoy the missile with that flare pistol.

Short answer no. long answer, modern fox-2s are very good at tracking a target through flares, and the vast majority of missed fox-2 shots are because of the WEZ getting jammed instead of the missile going for flares. If 30 flares aren’t enough to decoy a modern fox-2, one little flare ain’t gonna do it either

What you can clearly see in this video is the adaptation and improvement of the Eurofighter pilot. First a maneuver death, then an overshoot death and by round 3 he's like got a checklist of do's and don'ts dialed in and he nails it. Its a shame to see our man GS get shot down, but for a demonstration of "heres what it looks like to see and improve through practice" this is hands down top tier content. Hope to see more of ARCH3R. The best tactic for the Eurofighter seems like it would be if it zoomed off & made fast, slashing attacks, not trying to turn with a WW2 fighter.

The best tactic for any jet fighter with significantly more power/thrust than it's opponent is simply using the vertical until you get a good weapons solution. It's a virtual guaranteed victory for the jet everytime simply using the vertical, much like the F4's in Vietnam.

When modern fighters don't have rockets, there seems to be a way to fight them in old airplanes in a dogfight. Slower tight steering is a great way to outmanoeuvre them.

I've actualy vitnessed a eurofighter of the austrian spar with a pilatus pc-7 proptrainer once. It was a moonlit night with scattered clouds and you could clearly see the pilatus zoom from cloud to cloud while the eurofighter was chasing it, going in and out of afterburner. When the eurofighter was racing thru the clouds in full afterburner, they seemed to glow in there entirely. Sadly i quickly lost sight of them in the dark, but one could hear them for quite some time there after. All of that only a few hundered meters above a tourist village in the alps.....

Why doesn't the Eurofighter just climb to about A20 and dive on the 109? Doesn't seem like the Eurofighter uses its speed and rate of climb to best advantage. By trying to go as slow as the 109 while trying to rate fight you give up the speed advantage. Slow rate fighting plays into the 109's strength, it's a better 'slow' aircraft.
