On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

one of the first, and still most important lessons I learned from watching this channel... is DON"T REVERSE THE TURN... that has already increased my survivability in flight sims.

Correct, the only time to reverse a turn is when you’re certain the bandit will overshoot if you do it. Otherwise you will die.

I'm not sure DCS includes Lancasters, in addition to Lancasters only did night raids and didn't use escorts. B17, B24, B25, B26 would do nicely.

I’d also like to see more ww2 era dogfights… or possibly missions involving ww2 scenarios… I think it’ll be interesting to also see a fictional set up where perhaps a ww2 aircraft finds itself jumping through time into a modern day battlefield

Yeah, the BF-109 vs P-51 was a complete tie. Dead engines, damaged planes. Although you get a small point for successfully belly landing as the other plane hit a tree or a building.

Stepping away from realism, a 3 way dog fighter would be interesting. Similarly matched vehicles but every man for himself. It creates an interesting dynamic where a lot of times two foes will have an advantageous opportunity with a briefly team up before turning on each other.

A very minor terminology note for the excellent A-10 videos: A-10 pilots don’t call them “air brakes,” but rather “speed brakes.” Also, an A-10 with loaded-up weapon stations would likely jettison the munitions if having to deal with an air-to-air threat. The weight and drag would quickly bleed off any available energy needed to survive the fight.
