This company is absolutely stupendous. Found a problem, solved it, created different services assisting the core business. The tender assisting service is absolutely insane. Such a good business in a niche dominated by unorganised smaller units. This is real growth.

I used to admire this guy and his company until I read the Morning Context's article. They're not paying their employees and the horrible toxic environment is just not something to admire. :/ All that shines isn't gold but I guess you can look at the valuation and keep clapping your hands.

I came across this video completely by happenstance. That is a superb story you just told us. Ashish Mahapatra is a real desi gem. Startups created new market and products in b2c, but b2b only see lots of buying the existing small businesses that runs majority of families in India. at least jeff bezoz didn’t buy all Kirana shops which quick commerce is pushing out of business by stealing customers. No new business, market is being created in b2b. Sad

Thanks for sharing this very insightful video. Through and through this was knowledge packed. Had never heard of this phenomenal company before. I'm nit-picking one line you said about their Principle being simple "Do what is happening in the industry but do it a little better" - the kind of insights this business has and how they acted on it - seems lot more than "little better". They are fundamentally and phenomenally better and thats how they gained the trust of the industry. e.g. getting quality report before delivery. So saying doing it little better is not so (little) accurate. Again, wonderful video, very informative thanks for sharing.

The video encapsulates the entire journey of ‘OF Business’ succinctly. The narrative was good and covered all the aspects, however it sort of gave an impression that everything was falling into place too perfectly which I am sure might not have been the case. Looking at the scale and dynamics of the ecosystem that it operated in, every incremental foray would have posed immense challenges. What really shines through is the brilliance, vision and focus of Ashish in stewarding the entire journey. Behind that soft, unassuming demeanor is an educated and shrewd business intellect that walks the talk.
