What happened at 57:47 is that you ulted Underlord, and casted your Splinter Blast shortly after, also at Underlord, while Pudge had Blade Mail activated. So the damage that killed you was Splinter Blast being reflected by Blade Mail, not Winter's Curse target reflecting. (Underlord being the target of your ult didn't have Blade Mail activated anyway). I think one of the hardest skill grubby has is to read chat while playing a game like dota. I could never play decently while looking at the minimap, reading chat, commentating and not making a fool of myself in the process.

I lose my mind each time Grubby spawns a lvl 1 hero in the demo mode and wonders why a spell is too strong or too weak.... and chat is screaming about it

Cold embrace works well and counters against physical/basic attack dependent heroes. It good to use when an ally is being dueled by LC, captured by Void chrono or got ensnared by a Troll, idk if it gives armor or smthng but it works well against basic attacks. Its not a good idea to heal an ally if there's a heavy spell dependent heroes.

It doesn't just give armor btw it totally negates any physical damages, WW is one of the biggest physical Carry counters in the game

Fun Lore fact: Winter Wyvern is Jakiros mother, Jakiro thinks that Winter Wyvern is his cousin but a writer at valve called Steve Jaros has confirmed that Auroth (winter wyverns name is auroth btw) is actually Jakiros mother. The reason why Jakiro may think they are cousins is that Dragon parents seem to seperate from their children before hatching meaning Jakiro wouldn't know who his mother is. She seems to hate Jakiro saying how she "I Should have crushed you in the nest"

A little tips on ww talent. You go for 1-1-1-1 in almost every game. You can take the heal at level 10 if you intend to buy holy locket. Otherwise it's garbage as well as alternatives at level 15, 20 and 25

You can't call someone a SMURF on unranked because it's free for all game mode. You're improving Grubby maybe polish map awareness. I noticed that is your first instinct is to run but looking at the map your allies are within range.

Thank god it was a wyvern mid. Pos 5 would be a clear ruin without a good hero knowledge. Not only you are slow and low stats, but also every spell (besides Q) can ruin the game. One wrong blast cast on the laning stage and the lane gets pushed and range gets denied, one wrong E and your ally is dead, and one wrong curse and you game is lost. And you ulted a lot in this game. However, if there are no enemy or neutral units in the curse area, it's just a 1.5 stun where only you can damage, and it's often a grief. Yet, WW is one of the best heroes in dota 2, with the widest pool of tools.

Hmm, I've watched you through wc3, sc2, and hots, and have been playing all those games. Should I now join you in dota2? It always seemed overcomplicated, and it's weird that the heroes are usually not named... It's always a descriptor or title of sorta. Kinda blah feeling? Just wondering why this game?

The descriptor of the heroes is a title of sorts. A lot easier to remember too, since its often based around their nature/ abilities. But some heroes are better known by their name - e.g. Lina (the Slayer), while others by title - Crystal Maide (Rylai). Winter Wyvern is named Auroth. I really liked to read hero lore and responses to figure out the story. Like Ezalor (kotl) being the grand-grand (lots of grand) father of Phoenix.

You are supposed to get the basic idea of the hero when you put title in the hero instead of a name. I would NOT know how does Ashe or Annie or Jax look like, but I would capture Doom or Underlord or Phantom Lancer easier in my mental image for example.

Gaben has finally done it. I gave up. after 10 years playing Dota 2 i could not handle this imbalanced team picking anymore. Most of the time i feel like a get this pro enemy team, and i have to play with these low skilled players. I have done everything i could in my power. Watch and learn from the Pros. Watched so many videos from BSJ , subscribed to Gameleap. Learn from Speeed. Learn from Admiral Bulldog. Just to keep losing all my MMR back to Herald 5. I don't know what i have done to Gaben. But OK, he wins.

He previously said that he should've tried other games before DotA, because he didn't realize he'd get so into it. You could say the same could've happened with other MOBAs, but it does seem reasonable to think DotA's engine being directly based on War3's plays a big part.
