@@uchihabroz.7141 good multiplayer really have millions ways to defeat Insane AI. AI are very vulnerable against harass or rush strategy. Good player can also out perform micro at late game battle because AI is very poor at prioritize their target and hero protection. Certain thing they'll never do like healing scrolls, orbs, staff etc.

I also recommend that new players play the campaign on hard difficultly. The units and macro are sometimes different but there are a lot of missions that push needing to manage multiple things at once (such as attacking and defending your base).

Grubby do you remember the 3rd Party AI for wc3, called AMAI or something similar? This was a bit more stronger and the best thing was it said automatically gg when the AI see the loss.

Damn... That was actually my "request" if you can name it even so. I actually wrote a bit of text that i wanted to play more "competitive" in terms of ranked games and so on. Wasn´t unfamilar with wc3 overall, and if there would be anything you could "navigate" to as a new player, for example beating the AI in normal difficulty, to be ready for ranked. That summed it up pretty much. It was from the Twitch-User "CC_Seig" which is pretty familiar with what i named myself here on YT, but you can write me anytime if someone doesn´t believe me :D Also i tried it the day after this was on his stream, and it wasn´t actually that hard to do. Sure it wasn´t as smooth as grubby did it. It looked a bit well... unexperienced i would say xD, but i managed to pull it off. Anyways. Really appreciated that you taught me a bit what is important overall and so on, even if it wasn´t a request, but just a simple Question. =) Have a nice weekend guys and girls!

After many years of not playing, I just played one game vs the Insane computer. I won! I opened the exact way Grubby did. I went vs elf (fk me) I couldn't harass the gold mine, I killed a couple of tree harvesting wisps and then backed out to do some camps. Then I went tier 2, took a gold mine and maxed out on wyverns. I was constantly harassing the AI even with one or two wyverns. Very soon my wyverns overwhelmed the AI, especially when I hit 3/3. Overall, easy stuff. I guess I qualify for multiplayer :D

It is possible by using sneaky strategy like mass raider/ bat rider, mass tank to steal the building before the mass army.

It's so easy. The AI are always reactive whenever you attack their base. Always use scout or wards so you can monitor their movements. Whenever they try to attack your base, go attack their settlements. They will tp immediately. Just keep doing it until you build your best army. In my case, I always use night elf til I able to train chimera. Whenever they leave their bases, I will use chimera to destroy essential structures. Just be careful not to lose those units just run as much as possible.

Computer insane is really hard when you don't know how they works. I can't defeat them when I was teen, now It's my daily ritual to beat them before going to work.

The main advantage Ai gives is the same build order to practice against your build order and macro. In PvP its often a cheese/tower rush etc.

I started playing wc3 again because of Grubby and it felt so good when I could beat insane in mid-game. I then proceeded with 1vs2normal AI no handicap, also won. I am really bad at microing though and won by building a mixture of random units, expanding, destroying expands from AI and buying consumeables + some bad focus dmg.

Wow this explains so much I didn't know that on insane AI got 2x resources which explains why I'm losing to it at tier 3 which they get so fast and can rebuild everything without expo even if I beat them the first time. I would want to see you fight insane UD at tier 3 with 80 food armies they are using casters and heros pretty well simultaneously also insane AI still doesn't TP they just retreat awkwardly and the mechanics of when they do are very unclear.

Maybe the skill level is much higher now. I guess it would be 20 years later with only hardcore players sticking around. But I went like 15 games before losing on BNET and I could not beat the insane AI back in the day.

Im sure Grubby can beat it easily without harass exploit, but the real challenge is to play against multiple AI, I practice like that doing a FFA but in teams, me alone of course and multiple cpu insane in teams of 2, that's really hard but a very good practice

I eatched this video once, took no notes and consistently kept failing. Turns out i was sending the trolls in one by one to my farseer and having them die one by one instead of massing them at base then reinforcing. I also forgot that i was supposed to all in with peons, and i was harassing buildings to get them cancelled instead of the mine. This seems so much more doable now lol

I just did it in Reforged as Farseer vs Kel Thuzad and Anub, but I dont know if the AI is the same. Im no expert but it seems to not prioritize the hero as much as it is shown here. It's probably due to lack of my understanding of "threat" generation in this game.

That's possible on sc2 by holing up on an island and using "free" defences like auto turrets to soak damage while they mine out the map - not sure what the warcraft 3 equivalent is.

Dumb question which I'm sure has been explained before (I'm new to channel): Why do you spam click between structures? is it to monitor training/building progress? I do the same, but not at a million miles an hour lol. I see how far my unit/building is going, and then act accordingly. Of course there may be a reason I'm unaware of, hence my question haha. I'm genuinely curious, not having a crack. I'm still yet to beat insane AI in a 1v1, so im nooby as it gets. Love your content!

I think it's just to keep their fingers and mind "Warmed up" in regards to microing and doing what they're supposed to be doing early on. For me personally, when I'm not doing similar spam clicking, I sometimes forget to do something.

Insane AI also don't siege good but go into towers, I build lots of towers with Human, build in them with farms, then go mass Gryphons (they never go enough anti-air), I take 0 losses against AI Insane all 4 races. :-)

would be good to redo this one again. Tried it recently and AI response was much better they kept going back to protect workers and where less tunnel vision on hero. They focused headhunters instead of hero... also when my farsear reached their base they already 20% finished t2 expansion + graveyard pushing out fiends once my headhunters arrived 2nd undead hero also arrived shortly after making it way harder than in this showcase.

Can someone tell me where the difference is, bwtween Easy Normal and Insane AI. I alwasy thought it is just that they only use 1 / 2 / 3 Heroes, but after beating a Easy AI I got stomped from a Normal one. So I think there is way more to it than this.

I think the harder the AI, they can expand much faster and also have better resource management. One time I'm literally still upgrading my Town Hall (yes, I am a dirty Human main), and the enemy already invaded me with 2 heroes and a huge army. There are also several occasions the army of Insane AI camp close to my place, ready to intercept any units crossing. Also, I rarely see normal AI expanding beyond 2 Gold Mines (unless it's a huge map like 8 players), so there's that. On each levels of AI, you learn better resource efficiency and decision making. However, in general, Warcraft AIs are pretty basic: summon huge army, attack your base, rinse and repeat. When their army is not at home, you can snatch some buildings and enemy resource gatherers. I think Orc, with their Pillage upgrade, is especially very effective for that task. I never really played against Easy AI anymore lol. Oh, by the way, the human AI is the easiest to defeat.

Is this normal that the Warcraft III Community is so mean? I played just Fun maps or VS AI my whole life, so I just got started to get into regular Warcraft III. And my experience with the Community is very negative already, after just 1 week.

If you do don't get disheartened by a few losses! You'll win about the same amount of games eventually!

You can start with bn, many casual players there. I had win rate about 80%-90% vs insane. I had >500 wins in bnet 1on 1 now. Strats are very different though. You need to get very family with at least 1 multiplayer strat, and use it constantly.

I don't think that makes sense or is realistic. Two AI either enter your base at the same time (and this is not starcraft - you cannot build one passage here) or one blocks you and the other takes out the base. Even if you manage to repulse this assault, another one will come in a few minutes, because twice as many resources are mined there per unit of time. You don't even need to invent something there - just clamp it on the base and crush it with mass
