This is such brilliant entertainment while being extremely frustrating at the same time lol. Sometimes not even a hint of thinking or analyzing the puzzles before literally walking into them headfirst while looking at the ground. Love him for doing it though, and chat was excellent all throughout.

The "I need to consciously turn on my thinking" part feels so real, I'm 29 and I've been noticing my brain automatically going "im not fucking doing that" whenever I see a somewhat simple math question lmao, at some point in your late 20s you'll need to start actively telling your brain to dig through the millions of useless trivia and ideas it has stored to get to the right thing you're looking for

For someone who haven't played enough fps, you are doing great with these puzzles. Watching you "sniff out" solutions is quite entertaining. I finished Portal 2 with 2 deaths only, but I took my time. It was a very anxious playthrough, but very entertaining.

Remember broken ladder you can't climb in Portal 1's backstage section? You can play both games with developer commentaries. In the commentary about that ladder developers say, that they found that players rarely look up in games, so the ladder was there to prompt them to look up. I'm just have been convinced in the truth of this statement

About a minute in it was clear he would be stuck here a good long time, due to being fixated on the barrier. 1:45:55: 10.5 minutes ;p

Have to watch at at least 1.5 speed to actually get through this. I think some of chat was right, Grubby baked ziti. Wheatley literally says "Go and catch one of the crap turrets and bring it back" to which Grubby responds yes yes. Then get confused on how to grab one. Higher than the sky. 🤣🤣

Cognitive fixation is when you self impose a limited mental framework and miss obvious solutions or conclusions. It feels good when things click and you’re able to see a solution that was in front of you the whole time haha. Sort of feels like having something ‘on the tip of your tongue’ then remembering it :) People do this waaay more often than they realize even outside of puzzle contexts. “I can’t think of a reason for X so it must not occur/be possible”
