By now, I think you know that I am not a JC Wings F-14 fan. That being said, I did like this livery for the most part. Personally, I would have left off the "Happy Halloween" and the "Trick" and "Treat" wording, but the overall look was kind of neat. And I believe the green cockpit surround was to represent the stem of the pumpkin. In reading the other comments, I'm surprised that others liked it as well. I thought my quirkiness was alone, except for maybe yours too, in liking it. Some pretty slick editing with all of the Halloween goodies throughout. You definitely get my 👍, again. 🤠👍

Haha yes the F-14 mold is getting a bit of a review beat down from me. I really need to review a JC Wings model that's more positive. I bought the JC Wings Erich Hartmann 109 so I hope that one makes a better video!!! It is a very small box though,haha. Yeah your right about the green part. Once I finished the video and stared at it for a while through my tears and bourbon it hit me,haha. I think the livery helps people like it and be a little more forgiving!! As I say it more desirable to display it gear down. The stand and gear bay door set up for in flight is just poop!! Google and that editing program I mentioned. Helps heaps with doing the videos. It's hard to tell they are snakes when they dress up like little kids...but I know those little bastards are snakes! 😂🐍 When I have more new truck show material in a few months, I may ask you for a refresher on your editing app. You create really good videos with it for sure. I'll be checking out your JC Wing's BF-109 to see if the quality is better. I hope so. I don't like to see any companies putting out duds. Cheers amigo. 🤠👍

@@espeescotty Those sneaky bastards, I would've thought maybe throw on some fake legs to look like lizards but they went the whole hog kitting out as children!!! 😂 Yeah shotcut is pretty easy to work out. I just learnt by clicking on stuff and seeing what happens,haha There is still tons of things on there that I don't know what they do but I know enough to at least get a video done,haha. I find it hard to learn by reading what people say, I prefer to be shown,haha so a bit of KZbin tutorial searching helps as well,haha. There might be better programs out there but this one works for me, and more importantly was free!!! I still haven't given up on JC Wings, as I've said they can put out some great models. Just need to sort the good from the bad!!

Thanks for watching. They look great in the box, but certain models from JC can have serious fitment and other issues!! Their F-14's and F-16's come to mind. Which I think are old molds they got off Witty Wings. Their newer models have been outstanding like their Su range and I just bought the EA-6 which looks insanely good in the box!! I would prefer personally at times less moving bits if the models went together a lot nicer!!

Yes I'm starting to feel JC Wings F-14's and even their F-16's do have a few issues!! Especially as these aircraf are made by a lot of other makers you would think they would want to put out a quality product to be competitive!! I mean their Su range are awesome so they can make great models!! Thanks for watching the video!!

The diecast store my buddy & me frequent has or had this model. I love Halloween & F-14's but have limited funds & this one is not at the top of my list. Looks much cooler in hand though, I gotta say. Thanks for the review brotherman & Happy Halloween! 🎃👻🤘🍻

I also have limited funds, but they are often over thrown by my impulse buying. I got it for $115USD, then add $45USD for tax and postage,haha. Not sure if thats a good price,haha. Just they didn't make many and I hadn't opened my "Red Rippers" one when I bought this,haha. Thanks for watching hope you had fun throwing candy at people 😂

Happy Halloween from America! I’m a big fan of the F-14 tomcat, and I’ve got quite a good number of the F-14s in my collection but non-JC wings, but I have never seen a tomcat with a Halloween scheme. It looks very odd though. Great review.

Happy Halloween 🎃🎃. I understand it's a pretty big thing in the US from what I've seen in movies 😊 Yes this livery really caught my eye, I also used to play the game,haha. I have given JC Wings F-14's a few chances now, but each time they look nice in the box, but seriously have a number of issues that really impact on whether it's worth buying especially for some of the fussier collectors. And those that won't be as fussy would more likely be younger collectors and I doubt they would have the patience for the terrible fitment issues that these have at times. Sorry it was such a long video!! But thanks for dropping past!!

@@heavymetaldiecast I used to collect JC Wings back then, and I was suffering from those accessory fitment issues, and it seems to be very consistent and appear to be JC Wings. They just don’t care; sometimes they do put out nice models, but those fitment issues are overall a letdown of the JC Wings product, hoping that JC Wings will change their approach in the future.

@@PatriotFalcon I feel their newer molds are better, their Su models are great with landing gear modules and magnets!! I just bought their EA-6 that has all the opening options so I am hoping since this is new tooling it will be a lot better than the older F-14 - F-16 molds they use which I am assuming are old ones bought off Witty Wings. But it does hurt their branding sticking with older sub par molds. Its always a will it be good or will it be bad thought when ever buying a JC Wings model!! And they are not exactly cheap risks to take!!

It is a little disappointing for sure. They should really invest the time in tweaking this old Witty Wings mold and fixing the inflight gear bay door issue for one. Such an obvious problem specially in this colour. They go to great effort in the livery, but fitment and finish is frustrating. Especially when so many others do F-14's that go together really well. Going to be getting my first JC wings model, their EA6, hopefully it is better quality than their usual items, I was going to get their prototype F-15 but I think I might get Hobby Master's and buy the figures and accessories separate instead if the quality is this poor 😐

Not all JC Wings are bad, I just think they are sticking with this old F-14 mold that they got from Witty Wings and some other older molds which are really hurting them. Their newer Su models are really nice. I have just got their EA-6 VAQ-133 and a quick look as it sits in the box it looks awesome. Looks to have landing gear modules so there won't be any issues there!! And the desert camo is drool worthy,haha

Its a shame that F14 Tomcat models are hard to come by from Hobby Master. The JC Wings models are really that bad. The quality is terrible. They even have the gaul to charge you extra for a stand!!!! Save your money and buy one from HM!!!!

@phachara6608 yep saw that buddy. I came really close to put having an F14 and the undercarriage was flat out broken!!?? I decided to try and save up for a Jolly Rogers version and I am almost there but at least it won't turn to dust right off the bat

We can get them here in Oz fairly easily, but for a HM one its around $200 to $250AUD, sometimes even more. Diecast pricing is high. Yes not sure why they don't include a stand as they are not cheap to buy either. But these F-14's I wouldn't want to have in flight anyway as you can still see the open gear bay doors for gear down mode!!! They go to great lengths in quality paintwork and presentation, but as you said the fitment and other issues really let their F-14 range down. You would think they would want to put out a quality product with so many other manufactures' making the same aircraft!! But oh well. Most likely my last JC Wings F-14, but I wont give up on the brand, their newer molds have been really nice!!! Like the Su range are beautiful!!!
