I have a theory for this film. Audrey Plaza must've read the script, realized the kind of crappy pile she got herself into, and decided to ad-lib a metric ton of riffing against the film. The director, however, did not get the sarcasm and, thinking that her ad-lib was hilarious, decided to keep it for the final product.

It's not just the face though, the whole film feels like one of those home videos where you bob your cat up and down to make them dance. And not all cats get bite-y, I had one cat who seemed to not even notice that he had claws. Of course, he was a cuddler, but have you ever met a cat that liked cameras? Ok, stupid question. (Also, about naturally grumpy cats, I always wanted a scottish fold, the ones with the droopy ears.)

I've heard that Tardar Sauce (a she) is actually quite friendly and pleasant. She just has an expression that looks that way. A sort of resting bitch face. Considering that people are mostly doing things around her and are just adding CGI or at the most bouncing her a bit or holding her, the worst it could get would be some loud noises, some strangers, and some flashing lights, but I'm betting they keep her off set until they are ready anyway. If she's well socialized, she may actually dig the attention, or at the very least be used to it.
