One of my favourite songs “Since I fell for you” from the album Dinah Washington sings the blues.

Both Dinah and Patsy Cline died in 1963 -- Two fantastic singers, both dying way too soon. Never heard a song by either one of them that I didn't like, if not love.

Happy centennial to the Queen of the Harlem Blues. In her 39 years on earth, Dinah Washington experienced just about every battle and excess to be found in the entertainment industry. We now know there is no way this could end well. But she left behind an incredible recorded voice and body of work!

Despite her immense talent and success, Washington's personal life was marred by failed marriages and inner turmoil.

Dinah brought most of her problems upon herself. She had either 6, or 7, or 8 marriages at only 39 years old. I do like her music. I have most everything she recorded.

This must be how the song Dinah, Won't You Blow Your Horn got started. 😆😆😆😆😆😆
