I think it was from a video released by the ukrainan intelligence about a standoff between a general and his troops, they lost 600 men, and the general said, you have 20 days to die (their contract was expiring in months worth of time). And the general told to go on the offensive, even though their combat capability was negligible, 2 out of 14 artillery batteries, 3 capable trucks and so on. Eventually he left, with no success

I've always enjoyed your content, even if the word "enjoy" seems like it's inappropriate- to experience vicarious misery though songs depicting war and loss, in various eras. If you ever go back to anything related to russia, here's another song suggestion. Train on Fire by Aquarium. Most applicable to the Soviets leaving Afghanistan, but plenty of other later historical events of the russians leaving and going home that would fit that song.
@JustVentus0211 ай бұрын
This song, its really fitting... this song is Gruppa Krovi or Blood Type, the lyrics are Viktor Tsoi's outlook on the Russian Afgan war and how people basically went their to die, one of the lyrics speak of how he wishes he was with his lover instead of in a foreign field, also how he wishes to be wished good luck. Its a really great song that cuts very deep...

Kino was such an amazing band, I don’t even speak Russian but after reading the lyrics only once I can understand it perfectly, the vocals have unmatched emotion. So sad that nothing has changed in Russia since the Soviet-Afghan war. History repeats itself. To any Russians reading this, don’t let this bloody cycle continue, your leaders use you to further their selfish gains while pretending you’re fighting for the greater good. Don’t let them massacre you and leave your country in ruin so they can buy another mansion. Your history is tragic from Stalin sacrificing the Soviet youth for a noble cause Gorbachev in the Soviet-Afghan War to Yeltsin and Putin in Chechnya, can’t you see that Ukraine is another pointless war and that after this one Putin will send you to yet another former Soviet state to fight for nothing but his own greed.

dude the detail on this wojack is insane, the top pouch actually has an x on the little strap symbolizing "direct pressure" as in a bandage that applies direct pressure as opposed to a "indirect pressure" like a tourniquet which would be symbolized as a circle. the symbols are ment so that if someone is trying to treat you they can instantly find your tournequet or bandage instead of fumbling around trying to find it, every second counts when an artery is squiting blood. and the fact we can't see a circle on any of the pouches (and this is a stretch if it was actually intentional) may lead us to the fact that many of these russian soldiers where poorly armed and most don't even have tourniquets.
