There is absolutely no reason citizens should own military grade weapons, like an AR15 or the like. They are not used for hunting…not that I’m aware of anyway. You can’t/shouldn’t shoot a freaking deer or small game with a gun like that. The frickn things would be too mangled to eat. Hunting rifles, hand guns, ok fine whatever, but we need more regulations on who can own guns. People under 18 should never own guns, and nobody should own military AR15s

The subject of gun regulation can lead to confrontational conversations. I admire your use of the fashion related platform for addressing the topic. You approached it in the socially savvy manner devoid of politically motivated divisiveness. Well done. ❤👍 I haven’t read the gun proposition; so, I can’t speak to that. Regarding gun laws in general, I am conflicted. When I was nine, my mother was killed by a gun shot to the head from a seemingly spurned lover. That was almost fifty years ago. It would seem after that intensely traumatic and scarring incident, I would have an irreparable aversion to guns. However, throughout my adulthood I have handled guns both in the military and at the practice range as a civilian. I have become a staunch proponent for the right to bear arms. I believe this constitutional privilege is an integral part of our overall freedoms. Certainly, I believe there is room for more gun restrictions. However, if the current regulations aren’t enforced, legislating new laws may only be lip service. Ultimately, tighter adherence to the laws, now, must be done, first (or, at least concurrently). In addition to the discussion of gun laws, I was drawn to the styling aspect of your video. The sheer coat-dress is fabulous. It looks like a Max Mara design. I especially appreciate the styling inspiration of it with slacks. Thanks, again, for a beautiful display of fashion. I am confident you “rocked” the White House in your black style. 🥰

@@CarlaRockmore1 Thank you for your kindness. 🥰 After 50 years, I still miss my mother, deeply. I mourn for the lost opportunities with her, as well. And, sometimes, I feel sad for that young, motherless child. However, mostly, I feel grateful that she survived in me. 😊 Guns can offer security and they can rob one of it as well. Perhaps we will reach a point with solid gun regulations (and enforcement of them) without depriving the nation of the right to bear arms. My hope is that no other child becomes orphaned or parent loses their beloved child. One day, it may be possible.

I adore u Carla but if you do not live in a State where the crime is so high and we can not afford high-quality alarm system and there is no real protection from the police force then it would be unfair to the real responsible gun owners to be restricted from the right to have protection. Gun laws should be defined based from the right to diligently own one and versus having an open business to minors, the ones with criminal records, mentally disabled and all of those unfit to responsibly own one! Other than this, it is a different world for all of us and at the end of the day, we should have the right to have access for real protection without waiting for 911 to answer your call or waiting for hours from the police.

Sorry no. But a gun safe, a gun case, and a reproable gun dealer selling a gun the size that this law effects? IS THOUSANDS of dollars, an alarm system and a breakproof door for your bedroom is MUCH cheaper and SAFER for you, and the people you live with. People who own guns are MUCH MORE in danger then those without according to stats. Love yourself, ditch the guns, and help put less of them on the streets!
