Hey Cristen! It’s great you can take some time to take better care of yourself and figure things out. I’m sure it will be odd at first but you’ll probably really enjoy it. You created a beautiful look.

That’s a long time to work in hospice care. However grounded a person is, that’s a tough gig. Maybe cycle into nursing folks that will recover, maybe not forever, but for a while. Traveling home from Alaska was over 24 hours of being awake, there was a flight delay. It broke me. I can’t handle long ass days with a hour catnap here and there. Reconnecting with your circadian rhythm will definitely ease your anxiety. With menopause and the bizarre thermoregulation issues that murdered my sleep, I needed to deal with being awake for half the night. I’ve never suffered from insomnia until menopause. The only time in my life where I couldn’t sleep was around big emotional trials or being bullied at work. So the being awake at 3 AM had a quality of something being the matter, (but nothing was going wrong) which caused anxiety but I couldn’t pinpoint the cause. It took about two years for me to identify that I just wasn’t accustomed to interrupted sleep and there weren’t big pressing issues. It’s a rare person that can normalize being awake all night. Anyway, I hope this break gives you time to reflect and listen to yourself. Everyone is so busy, it’s hard to think through big ideas because the routine of keeping everything together can take all over your time. Love you, dear. ❤️🐶

Hey Cristen! Please take care of yourself. Being a hospice nurse must be very rewarding but very draining as well. Good luck with finding the life balance you need. 😊

Hi I'm kinda new here, but I think you are a very sincere person, it's understandable why you made the choice you made, I hade a nervous breakdown in my late thirties early forties from not taking the time to take care of myself and doing for others (siblings, my ex, in-laws) so never doubt yourself or your decisions. I'm 51 now but I ended up in the gutter however I'm better now and I've learned a whole lot about myself in more ways than one. I wish you the best you deserve it. Thanks for sharing 😊 🙏

Hospice is so important but I can only imagine how draining it is. Bless you for doing it as long as you have!! I know you’ll be missed but it’s nice that you’re kind of transitioning out. But you gotta take care of you!! You can’t pour from an empty cup. Enjoy being a SAHDM! That’s the DREAM!! 😍

Congrats!! Living with chronic heath issues is hard enough without working 12 hour shifts. I hope you find the right solution.
