I agree with you on what makeup is! For me it’s self-expression, it’s art, it’s mindfulness, I disconnect from the rest of the world and connect with myself. Beauty is so subjective! And we need different points of view, that's why each person is different and unique. I love these types of videos, slower, in which it seems like you are sitting with a friend to chat about things that interest you :) (I'm Spanish, I’m learning English, just in case something doesn't makes sense haha)😘

I agree 100% with what you said about makeup as a ritual. I am a highly ritualistic person, doing my makeup ritual in the morning is just such a good start to the day. It sets the mood, I think.

I’m from Helsinki, and I know exactly what you mean when you say that your city isn’t beautiful. Helsinki is very concrete, cold and harsh architecture. Luckily we have pretty little parks everywhere, but those are of no use in the winter.. We have 2-3 months of total darkness with no sun from around november to january so the city is even more depressing with grey snow everywhere… but the sun is coming back slowly, waiting for spring and summer like crazy! 😅😂 love your videos❤

This video has been in my "watch later" for a bit now and I enjoyed listening to you while slowing down and taking some time to get un-ready after my day. I so agree about the ritual of makeup and the preciousness of setting aside time for me in the day. Some days I have to do my makeup in a bit of a rush and I used to resent those instances, but more and more I've been leaning into even those brief moments as a way to celebrate and love on myself 😊

Everything resonated. My workdays were necessarily light makeup times, but then I'd get ready to out and sing or have band rehearsal, (or out clubbing!) taking my time and enjoying every single second. Now I can take my sweet time any day. And I really look forward to the ritual of choosing what makeup I'll use for the coming week, too-- engaging with my collection and thinking about the vibe I want-- it's special, personal, and part of my looking after my own interests and not getting lost in what others need from me.

The vibes of this video were so tranquil and rejuvenating. 🩷💜🖤🩶🤍 I particularly loved your thoughts on makeup, ritual, the necessity of beauty, and what that all means to you, all of which really resonated with me. Slow rituals, beautifully evocative art/makeup and beautifully tranquil nature/things can really go a long way toward helping me feel relaxed, at peace and content from one moment to the next, and those moments are so important during rough times and can be a small act of rebellion in their own way. My makeup ritual in the morning is an important part of setting myself up for what the day brings. Looking at my face with love as I happily paint, really sets a tone for me. It's almost like a charm. I love this Valentine fairy look you created and the Winter vibe of this palette is calling to me. I have the Natasha Demons Lila palette, and I'm sure I can dupe the vibes first easily too. I love the look of that lip liner though, very much.
