Less is more with a sponge, IMO. I start with much less and layer lightly. Great dark cherry lip! It all came together the second that liner went on. Toasty is so adorable I can hardly stand it.

Gorgeous Evangeline! ❤️ Have you tried a sponge after the brush? I never pick up the foundation or concealer with the brush or sponge, it wastes product and is so hard to clean out of my brushes. Everything gets spread in a thin layer on the back of my hand first, then applied to my face with the brush. Then follow up with a dampened beauty blender style sponge sprayed with a setting spray. It meshes the cream products with the skin so beautifully! Elf has great blender sponges, the dark pink ones are perfect! And those two blush tones you showed would make an amazing blush draping combo! The peach on the cheek one and the darker one underneath. Oo la la!!! 🖤

Love how this look turned out when I want to go for a vampy look especially in fall my favorite products are Lisa Eldridge lipstick and liner shades cinnabar or jazz topped with palazzo in the center with a soft light wash of either a burgundy, or red toned blush, softly smoked out black tightline and waterline with a kitten flick, a lighter eye base than my skin tone to brighten, a wash of softly smoked out cranberry or burgundy or rust brown on the outer eyes with a bright inner eye or for winter I’ll focus more on reds and blacks and blue based greys and whites…. I don’t get to do vampy looks often but I have so much fun when I do 😆😀

I’m not sure that type of sponge is the best option for foundation/concealer. It looks like it should be used for powder. My favorite types of sponges to use are more like the Beauty Blender shape with a flat edge that I use to blend my complexion products. Also one that gets really big once it’s wet, I find the larger surface area really helps for a fast and seamless blend. I’ve also noticed that if I don’t thoroughly soak the sponge and wring it out, it doesn’t blend as well. I don’t understand how people can only wet their sponges with a few spritzes of water lol. And like someone else said, it’s best to not use too much product at first so you can build up coverage without it looking cakey. My other trick to prevent cakey makeup is to do concealer first. People tend to use a lot of foundation before going in with concealer but after I going back and forth for a while, I realized that if I do concealer first, I use less foundation and it doesn’t look thick and cakey I’m 100% not a makeup artist but these are just some things I’ve started doing and I feel like I’ve finally nailed my base routine lol

Ya that sponge was not working out! I wanna give a traditional sponge another go to help really buff in product and act like a finishing step. I totally love the concealer before foundation trick. It’s a game changer for not overdoing foundation and having like weird buildup trying to get perfect coverage!

Have you ever had issues with melt lipsticks coming loose from the packaging? I got the Bailey Sarian collection a while back ago and 3 of the lipstick tubes fell right out of the packaging, getting all messed up 😭 I’ve seen you use melts lipsticks before and I was just wondering if I was the only one that had issues with them?

Ok, yes this is a problem I’ve noticed with my mom’s melt bullets. My theory is, since they’re sooooo matte, the tugging kinda pulls it out of the package. I’ve been careful with mine so far by making sure to use it on hydrated lips and building the colours slowly. Someone recommended using lip brushes since the bullets are so delicate and that will prevent any tugging on the lips. It’s definitely a flaw in their packaging I’m surprised they haven’t resolved!

I’m so into this dimensional dark lip! I’ve been wanting to do a look using Glasswing from RDF on my eyes, and lips. I just love the soft matte finish of your complexion with the glossy lip. I love what a burgundy liner will do to a blue or green eye. I enjoy your precision so much! After lashes and mascara the color of liner is so softened! Dark feminine makes my heart sing. Like Vampira, but couture! Toasty is the perfect accent as always!
