Could u put a video, how to tune carbs after replacing filter?
@JamesBond313113 күн бұрын
First, warm up the engine to operating temperature. We remove the wire of the high-voltage coil from one of the cylinders and insert the spark plug so that the coil does not fail... tighten the fuel mixture quality screw. As soon as the engine revolutions begin to decrease, we start to unscrew until we reach the highest revolutions, you can listen or look at the tachometer, we perform this operation on another cylinder... then we synchronize...

Any particular reason for installing this new filter, vs just changing the oem one?
@WidgeTheWiz4 жыл бұрын
I wanted something aftermarket with increased air flow with higher HP asperations in mind. Right now the bike runs lean but once I tune the carbs I think it will be alright. Also It sounds cool with this air filter!

What did you do for the pcv system?
@WidgeTheWiz2 жыл бұрын
I let it vent to atmosphere. You could drill and add an attachment for the hose back into the filter. But it wasn't needed
@ricardoteixeiracorrea64373 жыл бұрын
What do you did with that Air rose from the top of the Air box?
@WidgeTheWiz3 жыл бұрын
So for that hose it always has positive pressure on it. So I just left it out to vent to atmosphere. I am thinking about drilling a hole in the top of the air filter and running it through that.

Yeah it was really nice having that. The guy I bought the bike from already had it installed. It may be a discontinued item. Unfortunately I don't know what the brand is.

is it possible to do this without removing the fuel tank if your fuel lines are long enough? (releasing the tank and pulling it towards the front bars?
@WidgeTheWiz Жыл бұрын
Depends on how much fuel is in the tank. If you tip it too far it will leak out the fill hole. My tank was empty so I just set it on the table to the side without disconnecting the fuel line. Tho I describe this differently in the video. Don't forget to rejet your carbs.
@info4jon Жыл бұрын
@@WidgeTheWiz Thanks for the answer I appreciate this... i had so much trouble with leaking fuel lines that I dint want to disconnect them,,, so if i do it with a low tank it should be possible. Thank you.

Google Translate: La moto funciona bien con este filtro. Solo recuerde volver a inyectar los carburadores según las especificaciones de la descripción. Si no lo hace, la bicicleta no funcionará bien.

Does it run well in low revs? I'm thinking on doing this to mine, but some guys are saying that it ia not a good idea for a number of reasons
@WidgeTheWiz4 жыл бұрын
I've noticed that I need to pull the choke out more on cold start but I have not tuned my carbs yet. Once the bike is warm I haven't had any issues with idling. Without tuning the carbs the bike tends to lag at about 7000rpm like it's not getting enough fuel. Plan on getting the carbs tuned soon and I think that will fix that issue.
