you really gotta rev it for quite a while.just drive it for half an hour and keep the revs between 6 to 11k. Really gotta heat them carborators up. If theyre really dirty you have no chance but to open and clean it, especially the idle nozzle (or whatever its called. leerlaufdrüse in german)

@@besterspieler2285the problem is the carb needle valve failing (they go flat on the bottom edge of the rubber needle and arent 100& triangle shape) and then they leak fuel and will flood the oil sump with petrol. Bandit 1200's have removable valve needle seats and behind them are o-rings that have to be replaced otherwise they will allow fuel into the sump. A failed fuel tap will not flood the sump, but will flood the airbox and spill out under the bike causing a fire hazard if the engine is hot😊

I had a gs500f and it was always a pain but a stage 2 jet kit and a k and n air filter took care of 90% of the problems. As long as it wasn’t freezing outside you didn’t even need the choke lol

This is the sort of video that would encourage me to buy the bike from a seller. Can you imagine if someone has every service on video. What a fantastic proof and reassurance that the work was actually done. Do you give a copy of the video to the customer? Do you mention this in any adverts? And that oil was so clean. That would also encourage me to buy that particular bike.

Not to be a debbie downer, but nothing stops someone chaging the oil 10 minutes before and then "changing the oil" on camera and making it look like that. The best test you can do is a compression test and check the oil pressure and check the coolant with a tester pen. These tools are max £100 on ebay (i know because i did this) and honestly, i wouldnt barter with the seller IF all readings are good. Because thats what I would do if i ever had to sell my bike. Stops the person from taking the piss too 😊

Increadibly informative for a person like me (who didn't even know that the brake fluid has to be changed). I am planning on buying a bike like this and I will probably rely on a mechanic for servicing, but I still wanted to be informed on whats the process which you showed pretty well in my opinion. Thank you !

I'm sure the k&N filters are a lifetime part?
@themobilemotorbikemechanic
@themobilemotorbikemechanic 2 ай бұрын
Yes and no. K&N filters need to be serviced and maintained so they can become more hassle than normal filters. If we do come across a K&N filter we hand them back to the customer so they can wash, dry and oil them if they want to do so.

My gs 500 keeps dying on me either cause of too much air in the fuel tank or too little gas intake what could cause this? Im thinking maybe that I need to clean the carburettor

Is it normal for these bikes to tick a little ? I’ve noticed once my Suzuki gs500 is warmed up you can hear a pretty constant ticking sound and it’s pretty noticeable but the bike starts right up and rides great when I’m actually driving it
@themobilemotorbikemechanic

They do tick a little if the cam chain is starting to wear. Keep an ear out for it and if it gets louder replace the chain asap

@@themobilemotorbikemechanic ya the ticking I hear is pretty loud but it only ticks bad when the engine is warmed up but the bike starts right away and has good power rides good when I’m on it but when it’s warm it ticks kinda a lot could it be valves ?
