These seem pretty fun to watch... but would be nice if commentators wouldn't make so many mistakes/miss stuff. e.g. expert records, clear conditions, how many levels they're on, why they just skipped/died. Feels like when one is commentating the other is watching what is being talked about rather than keeping tabs on the other screen. I've heard from other streamers that one of the benefits of a co-caster is having more eyes on the action so as not to miss anything.
@luminous69695 жыл бұрын
True, but I don't think they're professional commentators and/or maybe they don't have much experience yet and are still practicing to get good at it.
@espillane46375 жыл бұрын
While I agree that they are new to commentating, Slade beat a level with 000 on the clock at 25:31 and the commentators didn’t even acknowledge it. I’m not gonna lie and say they ruined the experience of watching for me because I still really enjoyed watching this. All I’m saying is that yes, if one commentator is talking about one screen, the other commentator should be watching the other screen.

I don't understand the extra point for winning 2 out of three matches. No matter what, someone is going to win at least two of the matches, so why even give an "extra point". It should just be the standard amount of points given for winning (which it ends up being). There should be an extra point given for winning all 3 matches however. Then it truly would be an extra point.

Anyone complaining about the commentators... I don't think you realise how difficult it can be talking non-stop for 50 minutes, with two screens to look at, and I imagine that these casters are relatively new and inexperienced compared to the people that cast the LCS and OPL for LoL or the CS:GO, R6S, DOTA2 and other game equivalents of those leagues.
@AllredGL3 жыл бұрын
Well maybe if you’re doing a competition maybe get commentators that actually know about the game, play it, and if I’m not asking to much actually no what the hell they’re talking about.

Could you guys put the game screen in opposite corners perhaps? It's probably just me, but it's hard to watch both at the same time because the screen looks like it runs together, and can be a little difficult. Either way I'm digging the series.

21:20 I don't get why did he skipped this level. The concept of this level is straight foward, but the weight ratio doesn't make sense in mario world.
@Vertraic5 жыл бұрын
He was not sure whether the items were actual indicators there, so he was afraid it would be a massive pick-a-pipe level.
@Czesnek5 жыл бұрын
It was a mario quiz level. He had to guess which item is heavier. You can see the correct answer when he picks a pipe.
@Milktube5 жыл бұрын
Ryu generally doesn't like to do puzzles or trivia in this speedrun format. Even in regular play they aren't his favorite. He has said for levels like that during the competition he just guesses as fast as possible. If I remember right that WR was around 30 seconds and he died on the 3rd question - definitely worth giving it one more try considering you learned the correct answer with that death too!

They really shouldn't skip levels that have slightly over 1min clear. They are proffesional players and they can beat levels much quicker than average players.
@Salcido51Jose5 жыл бұрын
Yeah of course but they still dont want to take the risk because the record is a world record depending om how many people played it thered a good chance its the least amount of time spent on it
@LordBhorak5 жыл бұрын
Well, the time they see is the current world record and there's a possibility that it's done with dev skip or cheese and the normal clear time is closer to 3 min...
@Salcido51Jose5 жыл бұрын
@@LordBhorak of course thats a possiblity but its more likely a real world record than a cheesed or dev exit world record
@LordBhorak5 жыл бұрын
@@Salcido51Jose Well... Only in the case there's no cheese or dev exit (depending on the plays the level has). I mean, if there's a dev exit, someone is bound to find it and boom, new, fast world record. Same thing with easy to medium to hard cheese (Ryu can find the extra hard parmesan, but only when he's not in a hurry). Searching for dev exits and cheese isn't a viable option when you're trying to beat as many levels as possible.
@Salcido51Jose5 жыл бұрын
@@LordBhorak your right but like i said there's a higher chance the world record is a real record than a cheesed record which helps for this kind of tournament so its worth the chance
