@@JagerScot-01your experience doesn't equate to the truth, dogs have different personalities. GSDs are working dogs that are easier to control and train with purpose. Huskies tend to be more out of control and dominant than GSDs across the board due to the personality differences. I'd also take a husky over a GSD anyday as they haven't been bred into the ground resulting in many, many health issues. They are also way more interesting as dogs in general - GSDs are easily prone to neurotic behavior because they need a purpose, which doesn't suit most normal families. These dogs have been playing together for 1.5 years now and it is standard for sexed males to get into little dominance battles like these. If things do escalate which they almost never have they are each pulled away and corrected and allowed to continue after in a calmer manner. Quick story: I went to the dog park a few months ago and there was a really agressive rottweiler there that had clearly not been socialized. When the owner was asked if his dog was okay bc it kepts going around tryna dominate other dogs the owner said "yeah he's in heat so theyre agressive right now" and didnt bother correcting the behavior. My GSD (f) and a doberman were playing in the water and the rottweiler got super aggressive and started attacking my GSD but a husky ran over and started defending my dog whom it hadnt even sniffed. Unfortunately the husky got bit pretty bad and a stranger intervined grabbing the rottweiler and pulling it away and yelling at the insanely irresponsible owner. I have no idea what happened to the husky everything happened so quickly the owners left to try and find a vet bc apparently the rottweiler wasnt vaccinated either after talking to the owner.

He ended up having to turn his whole backyard into a massive run for them and he only had a tiny back garden here in the UK. My point is that as uniquely gorgeous as they are, you really need to read up on them before buying one as they are quite demanding.

I like how the Malamute is so confident that the GSD isn't a danger that when the GSD charges at the beginning the Malamute kinda just lets it happen...like a parent/big brother getting playfully attacked by his son/little brother. Knowing that a Malamute can easily defend itself that was my give away that they were acquainted or atleast already communicated with each other that it was play...but I'm not even currently dog owner, nor am I a trainer or breeder. Though in my childhood I did train 2 Black Chow Chows, and kept them very socialized to other people and dogs...they were both very prey driven towards cats...but cared less about squirrels or rabbits...always thought that was weird.
