Johny didn't beat him, although he did come damn close. With that said, Johny refused to participate in the drug testing pool like GSP tried to get him to, GSP even offered to pay for all of it and Johny still wouldn't do it. This was before USADA testing was a part of the UFC and mandatory. And after USADA came in, Pigg Rigg has looked like shit. I don't think it is any coincidence.

GSP was undefeated for years. Conor had 1 fight against a difficult competitor i'e eddie alvarez. I say that because there was nothing that gave conor an advantage in that fight. He made his name dehydrating to skeletal weight and then flying back up to beat small guys. GSP owned his own division for years and YEARS. Mcgregor is a chump. I have some respect for him but he's a joke compared to a lot of fighters, he just has a lot of hype and ireland behind him. That's it. He NEVER EVEN DEFENDED HIS TITLES EVER......EVER.....What does that say about him? He is pathetic.

Hehe Conor is a better standup fighter then the old GSP overall but who knows how good he is now. GSP's jab is very underrated and if and when GSP decides for a takedown its pretty much impossible for Conor to stop it and be able to get up when GSP is on top of him. All I know is Bisping better not show up underestimating him because GSP is p4p the best wrestler in mma history. You can even look up him training/wrestling against Chael Sonnen and Nate Marquart who are much bigger men and they've said they couldn't outwrestle him. Love him or hate him, he is a special talent.

larry collins I respect your opinion, but I think you mean, if anyone takes him to the ground. Conor isnt the same fighter he was 2 years ago when he would get taken down easy. He prepares alot differently now. Before, he used to come in freestyle and ready for any opponent, not really preparing specifically. It was ony until UFC 196, after the Nate Diaz loss that he started preparing correctly instead of coming into the fight with that freestyle approach fighting mentality, not really preparing for his opponent or anything specific for his opponent. Ever since then, he's cracked down on his jiu jitsu, his wrestling, his cardio, everything. We just dont see it because he prefers standing up. He's not bad on the ground. Its just that black belts will pretty much do that to anyone and cardio has alot to do with Jiu Jitsu also. If your tired, you might give up a valuable position that your opponent can capitalize on and trap you or submit you. Only people who train will know this. Anyone who doesnt train or who has never trained doesnt really count because they dont know what it feels like. Conor is improved and I beleive he can knock out an "out of retirement" GSP who we havent seen in a long time. I think GSP would have a hard time taking Conor down because Conor does hit hard, only ignorants think otherwise. He also has good takedown defence .He can strike out of range, which is perfect for the style of wrestlers, because they have to at least have a close enough distance to shoot on you or they will catch a shot. Dont let the Mayweather loss fool you on how he can perform. Conor couldnt do most of the things he probably wanted to do which would have won him the fight, but boxing has so many combat limitations. Watch when he comes back to the UFC. He's going to make it look easy again. He's going to Knock out GSP, Khabib, Lee, and win a decision against Ferguson and Diaz.

Agreed. I wish him luck. People are making it sound like he's going to get smoked by Bisping. He might lose. It's certainly possible...but GSP is a killer. Pre-USADA Hendricks was a fucking nightmare and GSP survived him. GSP pulled out a victory against Condit - one of my favourites - and he starched Diaz. I'm surprised so many people are writing GSP off. Bisping is hit or miss and GSP is as consistent as anyone can be in something as dynamic as MMA. It'll be fun to watch. GSP definitely has a lot to prove.
