Have a Stoeger STR9mc have 200 rounds through it handles shoots and conceals well it fired cycled ejected all 200 rounds of Federal 115 grain FMJ brass so far l love it

I have the same problem with the magazine, but it is a grate shooter. I love it. I had to buy a loader and it works fine. The loader I got is from a gun shop called The Arsenal in Depford N.J. and it works incredibly good.

I recently picked up a STR-9 MC and I've had issues with both the 11 and 13 round magazines. Mine will realistically load 8 and 10 rounds respectively, by hand. I can force more in with the loader, but I still can't load the magazines to their advertised capacity. I contacted Stoeger about it via their website, but have yet to hear anything. They did say it might take some time (weeks) to get a response. However, given that I only paid $305 plus tax for the gun, I'm not too upset. The gun itself seems to run fine, and the build quality is better than I think you would expect for a gun that inexpensive. It shoots well too.

Yeah I understand the price-expectation aspect but regardless of that 300 is a good chunk of change for a product many rely to protect their life. But I get what your saying. I agree the build quality is certainly there, if they can build off of that they may have a great future

I think I got lucky as my str 9 mc mags don't do that. It's stiff and takes effort to load by hand, but I can fully load them. With a mag Lula it's much easier and works way better than the supplied mag loader

I have 3 from the STR-9 line, the STR-9, STR-9C, and the STR-9SC. No issues whatsoever. No failures to feed, no jams. Absolutely nothing bad to say about the STR-9 line whatsoever. Mags are a bitch and a half to find, though, and fairly expensive

There are Stoeger mags in stock at Sportsman's Warehouse. At $50 a mag they are insanely expensive but I wanted to get a second mag for my STR-9C. I just picked up an STR-9MC as a companion gun. Mine is the model 31766 which came with an 11 round mag and a 13 round mag. No optics cut. $399 MSRP but was $349 in store. My 11 round mag will not hold the slide when empty. The follower doesn't go as high as the follower in the 13 round mag. I just need to tweak the feed lips ever so slightly and it will be fine. Also the MC can take the 13 round mags from the C.

My str 9 mc came with an 11rd and 13rd mag. Having previously owned the sig p365 this str9mc is a direct competitor!!! Both of my mags are stiff as heck also, but I can fully load them by hand, and mine don't have the catch at the 4th rd like yours does.

I've noticed some of the new high capacity pieces have to be Really jammed beyond comfort in the mag. My LCP Max 12 rounder and the Shield Glock 43 mags had that crazy hard last round push. It makes me feel like the spring will wear quicker. Thanks for uploading another video!

Well picked one up and got to shooting. To say this gun is super snappy would be an understatement. Shooting it with the 365 and hellcat I bought I'll be keeping this pistol. Now I also have size xl glove wearing hands. The spring slide is crazy stiff which is likely the cause

I've the same problem on my full size STR-9. To make it easier, you have to push the front of the bullet down along with the loader. Using the loader alone, the rear casing goes down uneven and misaligns the bullets below it. Sometimes there is a rattle when the bullets below sticks but if you bang the magazine to free the stuck bullet, the next one loads fine. I've been able to stuff 16 rounds in a 15 mag.

@@GSquaredTactical I've run over 200 rounds and it hasn't gotten better yet. I still have to align the front of the bullets when using the plastic loader. It's the design of the magazine follower. Gun shoots great and haven't had a single issue using cheap range ammo like Blazer or Hurter's/Winchester. It's a great buy. Trigger is better than the Glock it's cloned from.

@@Wildwestwrangler not yet but I've another cheap loader from my Canik and it does the same thing on the Stoeger mags where it presses the bullets down from the rear of casing. I'm sure that if the mag loader pressed down from the front or middle instead of the rear it'll work fine. These same cheap loaders work fine on other model magazines I've tried. It's the design of the mag follower on the Stoeger allowing the rear to drop too low causing it to catch at a weird angle.

Pretty sure they are 11 and 13 round mags as mine are. Mine are impossible to load the last round without a loader, even after leaving them fully loaded for weeks. Slightly disappointing but it’s a ton of rounds for the size. Overall awesome gun

yeah, very stiff the first time. It gets better each time. SO my MC shot great also for 29 rounds. Round 30 the main spring and guide rod failed and came out past the barrel. I'm hoping I got a lemon because I really liked handling and shooting this pistol a lot ! Its gonna be on its way back to Stoeger tomorrow.

There are several videos on You tube now showing that Canik and Sig mags work in the Str-9c except they do not lock open on the last round from what I can tell... Currently Joe Bob outfitters has the Stoeger magazine in stock... Also has a 16 round mag for the STR-9c. I just bought a StR-9c at a LGS and with the rebate I ended up with 125 in the gun... Not have the first issue with mine so far... sorry about the mag issue with that one

The mags are just very stiff. I got one recently. The mags reminded me of old surplus mags. Once they are broke in they will function better. I loaded mine up and just left em sit like that for a while. They will break in. The springs will be fine thats a boomer myth.
