For the people asking, this bike is probably geared down. Most sport bike guys change the front sprocket 1 tooth at least right after buying brand new bike. Makes them very quick and cost like 18 bucks.

i did opposite. +1 tooth in front. that doesn't make bike slower, it just shifts gears upper. like 4th feels almost like 5th before etc, only 1st gear become actually longer and slower. but there's no lack of power anyway) side effect -speedo became honest:)

de 5- marcha passou os 300 kmh de painel , se nota claramente pelo som do rpm subindo e de 6-marcha algo entre 325 a 335 kmh ,.. muito forte ,..suzuki sempre foi rainha de velocidade ,... e se percebe ,.. porque , alem de mercer ,..fantastica moto !

Set your phone to audio record. Wrap it in cloth and place it under your pillion seat. Then set your go pro to record the video. Before starting your trip, clap twice, this will create a spike in the audio volume on both your phone and go pro. After your ride, use some free video editing software. Use the video from your go pro and the sound form your cellphone. Line up the spike in audio from when you clapped to ensure that the video and audio are in sync. Save the video, done.

​@@brunocarvalho0666 the speedo cannot show speed higher than the actual speed so it's always lower to avoid mistakes (law restrictions) anyway the topic is about what @Emilio Padraza addressed - gsxr 1000 k8 has 6th gear rpm limiter that will not allow it to run quicker than 299kph when stock.

@PR7 The reason for the 299 limit was due to the Gen 1 GSXR1300 Hayabusa breaking the limit of 300 on the analog meter hence, the gentleman agreement across all brand to limit the max speed reflected on the speedo to 299 =)

@PR7 Vlogs it's 329 at 14k rpm based on its stock gearing. Add to that tire slip losses and rolling resistance and that speed is considerably less...

I have the same bike in a limited Rizla Edition with a few mods. I also done the limiter in the 6th gear with stock gear ratio. If the speedo would go more, i think it would show u around 330-340.
