I know it looks and sounds cool but you need block off plates and a tune. Your air fuel ratio is way off.

Was tuned to perfection on a dyno with the woolich package. Air fuel ratio spot on bud

So what kind of influence the tune and the decat made on the Mpg? =)
@mcrennagade8732 жыл бұрын
Uses a little bit more fuel than the stock map.

Was it flames and pops before you go the tune? I've got a 2020 katana which is exact same exhaust setup. Getting new headers/straight pipes on today. Went with the Blackwidow system. Slip will come as more funds are available but i just wondering how it behaved before the tune? Woolich again will be done once more funds come through
@mcrennagade8733 жыл бұрын
Yes flames and pops before the tune (as soon as the decat headers were fitted). You can stop the flames and popping by blocking the pair valve (exhaust air injection) but I like it the way it is!

@@mcrennagade873 yeah I agree. I had a 1250 bandit straight piped. Popped off its nut so got a pairs delete and hated it it. Killed all character of the bike. So went for first proper ride today. Like the sound but I think a slip on will improve it. Pops and flames are there but only at top end. Bandit Did it much lower in the revs but again totally different motor.

I have a 2019 GSXS 1000 I was looking for a quick shifter myself what type are you using?
@mcrennagade8733 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, mine is a Woolich Racing quickshifter, it's part of their package they do. It's pretty nice, but I do have the occasional miss shift or false neutral. I hear that the Translogic is a very good shifter, as well as HM also.

Hey mate. What QS did you use?
@mcrennagade8734 жыл бұрын
Hey bud, it's a Woolich QS which is part of the racetools package.

What's your exhaust setup and flashed?
@mcrennagade8734 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, exhaust consists of Lextek headers, straight through with no cat, then to the stock end can. Bike has been tuned with the full Racetools Package from Woolich Racing.

MC RENNAGADE hi mate did the lextek remove any of the torque dip in lower range ?
@mcrennagade8734 жыл бұрын
@@michaelcarvell2482 Hi mate, no unfortunately it did not. The dip is quite pronounced between 4-6k rpm. It did produce decent numbers on the top end though - 156hp at the wheel, and my tuner was impressed with the peak torque at 82 ft/pounds. I might be considering a header swap to sacrifice top end for a smoother mid range.
@michaelcarvell24824 жыл бұрын
MC RENNAGADE thanks for the reply. Seems m4 or arrow with longer centre runners are better but only custom headers seem best from forum surfing. Doesn’t seem that you loose the too end either but just gain the midrange that’s missing. Thanks for the reply.
@mcrennagade8734 жыл бұрын
@@michaelcarvell2482 Yeah man for sure those other pipes are good, but that little dip still seems to be there with most of them. I have seen a graph of the same bike and tune as mine but with Delkevic 4 into 1 headers on it - it made 10hp less at the peak top end, but the curve from the bottom end was smooth and strong as. I would be fine with 10 less at the peak.

Mine pops and cracks like that no cat open header I bet mine is spitting some flames to! Never thought about it till I watched this and mine sounds better no offense but it does!
