gsxr overheats

got f1 code flashing with temp.bike overheats after 5 or 10 minutes.bogs down and acts like its flooding itself,when i roll on the throttle.tried to jump the dealer mode.

u need to replace the thermastat and thermastat switch, dont forget gasket, i had that same problem, 05 gsxr 600 , it came on when after i topped it out, and it was hot as hell outside, it sits at a red light reving 4ooo rpms it scared me but im getting it fixed now... hope this helps brother

@LightningMAS yeah i dont plan on ridin it like this.went i tried to put it in dealer mode.it blew my 15amp ignition fuse.i have replaced it now,but have not tried agian yet.

On a 2006 suzuki hayabusa gsx1300r I change thermostat fan switch because fans wasn't coming on still fans don't come on an bike try to run hot so I did the jump wire an let it run fans on still trying to run hot any suggestions cause I'm stoked

I got a 07 gsxr 600 whats the average engine temp on city? Because on hwy my temp is185 to 190 but when i get to city and couple lights it will go up to 210 very quik i never have i light on but i dont like it, makes me think may start to heat

@mikeluckey i have the same problem bro.. my fuse blew out as well but my bike twelve o'clocked on me i think thats what caused the problem.. when you did dealer mode did you connect the paper clip to the red and black wires? let me kno if you fix it cuz im giving up good luck!!

yea.. put it in dealer mode.. with a safety wire pin... dont ride the bike with FI light.. something may be telling u about your bike... dont ride it and fucked it up anymore..

uncouple the thermo switch and bridge the wires on its multiplug and see if you fan comes on when you turn on the ignition then if it dose change the thermo sensor

Hi I have a similar problem with my GSXR except I did not lose all my power, I am wondering if you ever found out what the problem was with your bike? mines flash F1 then the temperature and I have the red light on too, its a 2005 GSXR

I've got a 2003 750 and its always running hot from 198-228' I ran a hot wire to the fan n put a fuse n toggle switch turns on tell i turn the ignition on then barely turns??? any ideas guys help!!!!!!!!!!!!
