Fuel pressure regulator in the tank was the problem allows 43 PSI to the injectors if the spring no longer works it will just bleed out into the tank and you will lose RPMs etc
@two4life4553 жыл бұрын
Yes that is your problem. Just remove butterflies all your airflow will be restored I had the same problem you’ll still have red light but it will run like hell
@jamesfernandez8782 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by remove the butterfly’s because I’ve replaced mine once bike tan fine for like 7 months now sams issue stva is going again ot something
@maxwilkinson77842 жыл бұрын
Loosen the adjusting screw on the stvs, rotate anticlockwise till the sensor is rotated almost as far as it will go and retighten. Close circuit for the diagnostic FI indicator at the 4 pin plug at the back of the bike, you know what I mean and the lack of revs problem is fixed. There's now no temperature gauge, "28" indicates occasionally but I now have full power at maximum revs. This is a bodge. I don't know for sure but tuning may be altered somehow, leaned the mixture off maybe. I've done at least 1000 km since this fix and it seems OK.

And if it's nothing of these symptoms then it's probably electrical spark plugs or rectifier
@MRzay7862 жыл бұрын
So if I’m understanding right is everyone saying to check or replace the fuel pressure regulator? Which is causing the Secondary throttle to spin like this when you put it back together? Because I have this exact problem.
@jessygibbs41324 жыл бұрын
i hear it’s a common thing that the solder contacts on the stva cracks and wires breaks loose on these gsxrs , put a solder gun back to them see if that helps, good luck!

Cured my 2004 gsxr 1000. It's a bodge but it works. Loosen adjusting screw
@jarrettehill12583 жыл бұрын
Just unplug it you can run it without it if needed but if not do not mess with it if it's actuating properly it's probably fuel related like fuel injectors or pressure release valve in your fuel tank that actually it's at 43 PSI see the pressure coming from the tank with a pressure gauge if it is kicking 43 PSI it is most likely not your pressure relief valve could be dirty injectors rarely is though usually pressure relief valve goes out
@jarrettehill12583 жыл бұрын
That is exactly what I did it ended up being a fuel pressure regulator inside the tank on the fuel pump very easy fix they do not make it for certain years though the fuel pressure regulator but you can make your own fuel pressure regulator external on the tank that you can adjust the fuel pressure just make sure it is at 45 PSI that's what the black likes to run at
@JB-zx2py3 жыл бұрын

@jarrettehill12583 жыл бұрын
Just make sure if you do an external fuel pressure regulator that it runs at 43 PSI and it's a pain in the ass because you would have to drill through the tank and make sure the tank is solidly secured so no gas is leaking out of it but it was my idea to do an external fuel pressure regulator from Amazon that is adjustable just make sure it's at 43 PSI you can also do external fuel fuel filter that you can change out easier than the one in the tank pretty good idea would just take some doing on making the gas tank not leak maybe just welding nozzles for your new hookup
@jarrettehill12583 жыл бұрын
Mechanics call that fuel pump a sand trap because it literally there is a bottom filter little sock filter but there is an internal filter as well in there and once it plugs up your screwed you have to buy a whole new $400 plastic housing for your $30 pump

You have to buy a new fuel pump housing which will run you $500 approximately the fuel pump itself it is cheap like $50 or under with the seals highly suggest using seal Lube so you do not break the housing that was my mistake on the old pump
