bleeding a Chevy s10 clutch done easy part 2

I bled my 88 after installing new master, slave and hoses…by connecting clean fluid bottle to slave bleeder valve and drawing fluid up, through the master to the reservoir. No brake pumping required. Worked like a champ.

It works, do it about 15-20 times. Just replaced my clutch, had a hell of a time bleeding, even with my buddy's help. This helped me out. Back on the road. Thank you .

Thank you so much. My clutch went out while I was in school. That was about 7 1/2 hours. I had to drive home while teaching myself how to shift without the clutch. But it was a pain in the ass to get it on my driveway. I an actually talking my '98 s10 to my dads shop tomorrow for materials to do this.

Lmao I've learned to get new bolts, hoses and washers for anything I intend to touch lmfao! I'm so glad bleeding the clutch worked cause I was not looking forward to removing the abs module!

That master is TINY seems like its just filling it constantly instead of trapped air being the issue. Looks like of you just have a very tight fitting hose there at the slave in a big bottle to catch everything have someone just push the clutch slowly while the other is just constantly filling it seems like youll run it dry in two pumps of the clutch

I was making this video for somone who doesn't have a second person to help pump the pedal while bleeding from underneath. also sometimes air is trapped in the upper system and no matter how much you bleed from below the pedal doesn't make pressure . you would most likely have to gravity bleed the system . this is just another way of doing it that worked out well for this particular vehicle.

@@gsxrstyle indeed yeah but it's quacky that there indeed was still air there in the master. Do hear it's a pain to bleed on these trucks straight up anyway but with a master that has like two tablespoons of fluid yeah I can see now and why lol

Is the hose and needle necessary to bleed it or can you do it by cracking the bleeder loose and pumping the clutch

Yes you can Crack the bleeder on the bottom if you have 2 people

Hey, I just saw your video of you bleeding the clutch master cylinder by sucking and putting the fluid back in the reservoir and the question I have is do you think that I would just need to bleed my clutch master cylinder because I was driving home the other night and my clutch pedal got extremely hard to press going to 2nd gear and I turned the truck off and got out to see if I needed fluid in the clutch master cylinder and it was still full and dirty so I got back in my truck to try to start it and it would not crank or start. So I got back out to look under the truck to see if I saw any leaks as best I could in the dark and noticed some wetness on the ground so I had it towed home. Today after I got it jacked up in the air I saw the line just like the one in your video just hanging there next to the transmission. I pushed the line back into the side of the transmission and can not understand why it came out because it looks brand new with a o-ring and a clip around it, but after I pushed it back in the transmission the clutch pedal is now still very low to the floor and not as hard and stiff as before and I'm able to push up and down a little bit, but my truck still won't crank or start. Please any suggestions because I have been driving the truck for over a year and never had any type of transmission or clutch problems and honestly don't see or can figure out why that line popped out of the transmission and also the fluid on the ground do you think was the brake fluid or perhaps some transmission fluid? I apologize for the long text and if you would reply with a suggestion on how to get the truck going again, I will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and have a great rest of your day!

Sorry for the late reply yes thats odd that line came out perhaps it wasn't fully seated if it was replaced or disconnected previously . Yes bleed the clutch as you probably sucked in alot of air by pressed the pedal with the system being open like that I would bleed from the top and the bottom you will need 2 ppl to bleed from the lower bleeder then you can try to use a hose from the top as I did to hopefully extract any air from the upper half of the line you may have to use this method for a while to be sure you fully pulled the air bubble to the top and fully out but the method does work may as well fully drain the oil fluid and replace if it's that dirty

@@gsxrstyle I got a chance to bleed the upper clutch master cylinder just as you did in your video with a air pin and I had absolutely no air bubbles at all from the top. Then I went down to the side of the transmission with a 11mm wrench and opened the fitting just about the line that originally that was just hanging on the side of the transmission and the fluid immediately started running out so I closed it and the clutch pedal is still low to the floor and spongy? What recommendations can you please give me to get this old 2000 GMC Sonoma rear wheel drive 5 speed, 4cylinder going again?

@@marv4242 fill the res again and just slightly crack the bleeder until you get a very small trickle come out catch in a drip pan leave over night called gravity bleeding top off next day close bleeder then pump pedal .if still spongy you will need 2 ppl to force bleed the system by pumping the pedal and cracking the bleeder many times .if after all that and still nothing you may have a bad slave taking in air or master can also be taking in air. That's odd I mean the fluid has to be leaking g somewhere it just goes from the master under the hood to the slave inside the transmission. Could be leaking inside the tyranny from the slave cylinder

The fuel injection on my 150 was fine I had no issues with it after the dealer did the update to it .if you buy a new 150 from the dealer you won't need any updates I happen to get the 1st tpi 150 so it needed some fine tuning. You can get the ktm or husky 150 they are basically the same aside from the looks if you have any other questions ask away
