I really like this Review. It puts empathis on personal experience rather than pretending that a personal opinion is an objective truth.

El Burro Loco? Silver without cushcore or DH casing is risky business. Really like the desert brown colored frame and the review!!

Thanks for the review of the base model. These bikes often get overlooked at launch. Sounds like the bike is more plow than pop. Was it stuck to the ground or still easy to get in the air? Cheers! 👍
@iancollins4733 жыл бұрын
Yes, we're always stoked to cover a broad range of pricepoints - not just flagship bikes. I would say that it definitely leans more toward plow than pop, however it is quite nimble and I wouldn't read into that too much. It doesn't "feel" like a ton of bike. I'm still dialing in the suspension, but my initial instincts are that it's still pretty easy to get off the ground. Put it this way, it definitely doesn't wallow in the suspension.

Hi there - I have noticed the chainstay on the non-drive side is clamped to the axle with a bolt. Don't you think this is a weak spot in the construction?

It's a crazy world we live in where a near $4,000 bike is a "budget" bike. LOL

@@mtb-mag hi there - some bikes feel smaller than they really are. is this one of them? I am 171cm and wonder is size L will be probably too big?

More indepth review coming? Is it a heavy bike?
@duncanh60453 жыл бұрын
Do you think with the steeper seat tube angle this bike could be for trails with 50/50 climb and descend? Or is it more just a downhill bike? It has loads of travel which would be nice
@mtb-mag3 жыл бұрын
The steep seat angle and neutral pedaling make longer days much easier from a body positioning and efficiency standpoint. However, it is a bit portly...It has more of a "long grind to the top, then rip a long descent" feel to it than it does for undulating terrain.

I am intrested in buying this bike but i’m only 62 kg,i ride hard and i would put a cushcore and i’m worried about the wheight.Is it that heavy?
@mtb-mag2 жыл бұрын
It's all relative...It's a solid pound or two heavier than most due to build build solid and having a high pivot. Remember, you'll always feel rotational weight more than anything.
@Photosbydrew3 жыл бұрын
LBS only has this build, don't think ill go for it wish they were getting the better build. Really want a ZEB in 2022
@iancollins4733 жыл бұрын
Understandable - the ZEB's chassis is a bit more in line with the bike's capabilities. Bikes are hard to come by these days - you could always upgrade later?

A 3800$ budget bike ? Pitiful
@iancollins4733 жыл бұрын
When you factor in that prices on everything are up, and the fact that it's a carbon frame, that might help put things in perspective.
@edrcozonoking3 жыл бұрын
$4k is a bike for someone without a budget. If someone has to budget the price of any bike then it's to expensive for them.
@GROGU1233 жыл бұрын
If you consider the price of the Deviate and Forbidden high pivot frames alone, being around $3300. Then yes $3800 for a full bike is a budget bike.
