Been riding the exact same bike as in this vid and have been impressed at how it handles high speed bumps for such an old bike. Can really send it up and down hills and trails on the xcr-3000

I love the i drive. At high speeds over undulating terrain you can feel it getting faster and faster. It's a strange sensation. It seems to accelarate by itself.

Bike review by a guy who has no idea what it even does. Idrive was designed to eliminate pedal induced suspension compression (i.e. it doesn't bounce up and down from pedal input only ground input). It works pretty well too.

The i-drives intended purpose is to reduce chain wobble when the rear suspension moves. I love my xcr 3000 ((:

Yep, got an XCR 4000 myself, need the bearings serviced on the idrive, if any grit gets in there, it's major wear time.

I-drive was mostly intended to stop petal bob when climbing hills. They did this by moving the pivot point of the rear suspension away from the crank. Like your boots btw.

Incorrect. Unified rear triangle was an attempt to eliminate pedal bob, the i-drive was designed to eliminate chain jack, locking out of the rear suspension when the drivetrain is under load.

A little late to the game here, but I still have mine from 2001. XC? Bahahahahhaha!!!!! That was what we had unless you got a dh rig back then. This WAS your "all mountain" bike of the day. I still ride just about everything with mine. It beats the shit out of me, but hey, it's paid for and it's mine. Gonna do some upgrades to it though. Fork, stem and bars.

+BikemanforU - Yes. 2001 iDrive 4.0, full custom. Only stock part left is the rear spring and the seatpost QR. It's been ridden since new all up and down the east coast.

I've got a 99 XCR 4000 that's still running fine other than slight shift cable slop. It's a great bike and I've had it since new. 18 years of service and still kicking. I think it's due for a good full service and upgrades this year now thy it'll be a legal adult! haha.

I have an XCR4000. I think the XCR1000 was to top of the range then the 2000, 3000 ect. They were all made at the same time 1999/2000 then the new models came out. GT went bust after that and got bought out!

hey antonio(sonofa).....please start being a little more involved in doing the filming like you used to be instead of just being the guy who holds the camera.....you used to talk and joke around and laugh and now you don't even zoom in on things especially when your pops is telling you to ..then you lie when he asks you if you did lol....and I've seen this several times in several different videos ....im curious if you are embarrassed in school or something so people dont think its you??? sorry, im just trying to understand on why your barely in the videos anymore......take care
